"I've got to know, can you still drown a bottle of liquor under a minute?" Ace and I walked down to a pub near us. "Hell, I don't know after I started going on tv I couldn't do jack shit." We walked in and sat in the bar area. Though Ace was totally fine to drink, he decided to only have a few, while meanwhile, I had quite a lot. Things were starting to get blurry and I could barely see where I was going. I leaned onto the table and just talked to Ace drunkenly.

"Why did you leave anyways. I needed you, you know. And you just left us." I looked at Ace murmuring on and complaining about things and saying things I needed to say. "And now Murdoc's gone and you're back." My head wasn't on straight, I couldn't control the words coming out of my mouth, I just said what I needed to say.

"Why does Murdoc still leave me? After all, I've done, does he just not care about me?" Ace began to pat my back. "Let's get you back to the house." Ace picked me up and carried me on his back.

Morning came and I woke up with a huge hangover. I placed my hand on my head and grabbed a water bottle by my bed. The door creaked, "Hey, how are you feeling?" Ace had come to check up on me. He held a disturbing-looking drink in his hand and sat on the bed. "What the hell is that?" I looked at the drink, grossed out. "It helps with hangovers." I hesitated before taking a drink. I began to cough after I took a whole chug. I couldn't believe that it worked "How the hell did that work? What's in it?" I put the green gooey drink down on the nightstand. "Funyuns, tantrum soda, and a secret family ingredient."

"What's the secret ingredient?" He smirked and looked me in the eyes. "It's a secret for a reason." I jokingly pouted and burst out laughing. "Whatever you say."

"Why don't we go out, just you and me." He squeezed my hand like he was trying to cheer me up. He even seemed a bit eager to go, I just assumed he wanted to get out of the house. "Mind if we take your car?"

I had gotten ready and Ace got the car started. He wouldn't tell me where we were going, he wanted to keep it a surprise. I didn't care, Some time alone with Ace would be nice after all these years, "We're here." Ace parked in a spot close to the building. I read the sign 'Art gallery' not the type of place I thought Ace of all people would take me but it was nice, I liked the atmosphere. "I know you used to have a thing for art." Ace slightly blushed, in all honesty, I hadn't been into art in years I'd been too busy, but it was obvious Ace wanted to do something sweet. "Thank you, I've never been here before."

We both looked around at the paintings and different sculptures. It was a pretty diverse place filled with all types of pieces. One that caught my eye was a black and white oil painting of two lovers kissing goodbye. A melancholic piece at that. While I zoned out into the art, Ace interrupted. "Do you want to get a bite to eat?" I looked back at him and smiled, "Sure!"
