BECOMING

Why do we even exist
When we are not accepted
As the person that we've become
Instead of being the model of perfection which was expected

We live in a species of high command
And of strict rules to act like a judge
And then tear up a child's emerging wings
Who is too kind too hold a grudge

All we do is tell them to be quiet
Instead of having their own voice
And that's why a child just nods his head
Instead of going for his heartful choice

Some of us are lucky enough
To be raised by people who say it all
And try to put it in our brains
That do what you want even when you fall

We were taught to become what our heart screams
And then help those who lost their aspirations
To help them find the serendipity we already got
From the angels who taught us to become our own creations
