"Do you take Kirstin Taylor Maldonado to be your lawfully wedded wife, to forever stay by her side and protect her?"
"I do," I smile at Kirstie.
"And do you take Avriel Benjamin Kaplan to be your lawfully wedded husband, to forever stand behind him and stay by his side?"
"I do."
"By the power vested in me by the state of Oregon, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."
I look at Kirstie, and take her face in my hands. I kiss her long, passionately, full of love. She smiles under my lips, and we pull away.
"Okay, now to change the name," Kirstie squeals.
"Let's go!" I take her hand and run up the stairs. We go to the place where you can change your name. After filling out some forms, we eventually change Kirstie Maldonado, to Kirstie Kaplan. I love the way that sounds.
"Okay, now the ring," Kirstie smiles at me. The others have been waiting in the car, so we jump out of the courthouse, and hop into the nearest car, Ben and Esther and Ryan's car.
"Hey Mr. and Mrs. Kaplan!" Esther winks at us.
"That antique jewelry place please," Kirstie guides them, and we hop out of the car. She picks a good band with engraved swirls all along it. We check out, and I slip it on my ring finger. We drive to the hotel and go our separate ways, but not without a few "congrats". I take Kirstie's hand and set her on the bed. She crawls under the covers, and I follow. I wrap my arms around her waist, and rest my chin in the crook of her neck. She giggles.
"Your beard tickles!"
I proceed to rub it once more on her soft skin, and she wriggles out of our perfect cuddling position. She runs into the bathroom, and when I get there, is peeing on the toilet. I walk out.
"Wait, I wanted to talk to you!" she called, and I came back in. "If we are married, we should be comfy around each other. As we do already do nasty bodily functions like fart or burp, you must be okay with me peeing while you do something or other in the mirror."
"Okay," I smile at her, and get back under the covers. I hear the water running, and Kirstie lunges onto the bed, placing her hands on my neck. "Agh! Your hands are so cold!"
"Yeah," she giggles and looks down. I pull her back into the cuddly position, and we fall asleep.

"Avi?"
"Yes, Mrs. Kaplan?"
"We should probs tell our families that we are married."
"Sure, honey buns," I smirk at her.
"Okay, Casanova, calm down," she giggles, and I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her close. I pull her under the duvet and we video chat her mother and sister.
"Hey guys! Graycie!" her mother calls.
"So we have some big news, but I would like for you to guess," Kirstie smirks.
"You're pregnant?" Graycie squeals, but we both rapidly shake our heads no.
"You're engaged?" her mother grins.
"Nope," I smile, and we both hold up our hands.
"Y'all eloped!" they squeal together.
"Yeah. We'll still have a big wedding, but we just wanted to be married," I smile and look over to Kirstie.
"That is so cool," Graycie squeaked. "Omg, I'm, like, your sister now!"
"Yup!" I smile at her.
"But you're not having a baby?"
"No no no," I wave a hand. "We're going to wait."
We hang up, and video chat my mom. "Hi Avi! Hi Kirstie!" my father picked up.
"Hey. We have some big news!" I smile.
"Honey bunches of oats, get in here!" my father called.
"What is it?" she enters on screen.
"We have big news!" Kirstie grins from ear to ear.
"We're married!"
"Congratulations!" my mother clasped her hands together, and my father laughed and smiled. We hung up, and fell asleep, preparing for the long day ahead.
