Chapter 13: Angel Island

High above the clouds, the Prototype 2 flew through the sky quickly. On the wing was Slay as he looked around where they were as Milley sat in the jump seat behind Zai. There, she was flying the plane as she looked at both the sky and her controls from time to time.

Slay continued to look around, feeling the wind on his face as his quills moved with it. At the same time, Milley looked up to see Slay for a few moments then back around to see where they were.

"So do we know where this place is?" Milley asked as she raised a brow. "Or who we're even meeting there?" She asked, getting both Zai and Slay's attention.

"Well we do know where it is. Just takes some time getting there." Slay explained as he looked back at her. "As for who we're meeting, there's a small community on the island which is kinda known. There, we must find a friend of mine."

With that, Milley nodded as he looked over at the side of the window before Slay turned back around with a small smirk.

"Alright, we're here." Zai said as she turned the plane. As she did, they would move through the clouds slowly. Slay held his hand above his head for the moment before his smirk reappeared.

"Welcome to Angel Island."

As the clouds moved, there floating in the sky was a large island where waterfalls flowed down from the floating landmass. The island was covered with different areas, including a beach, mountains and an old temple area.

"How is this even possible?" Milley asked, looking over at Slay. When he heard that, he looked back at her with his casual grin.

"Well, that'll all be answered once we're on land." He said as he turned towards Zai. "Take us in. We'll take care of the rest." He said with a grin.

Zai gave a small nod and grin as she moved the plane in the island's direction. "Roger that. I'll drop you two off at the beach." She said before the plane sped off towards the island.

Once close enough, the two jumped off the plane and onto the island. Slay landed on his feet, sticking a three point landing. Milley hovered down while using her tails, landing on the ground gently as she looked up. Once they got their bearings, they both looked back to the sky, watching Zai as she dived into the clouds and away from the island.

"Alright, let's go." He said as he began to walk, Milley nodded as she followed him. As they made their way from the beach to the jungle, a dirt pathway revealed itself to the two. Slay began to jog lightly on the trail with Milley following after him.

As they got deeper into the jungle, Slay looked over at his side to see Milley next to him. He then grinned over at her as he began to speed up. "Say, wanna make this a challenge?" He asked.

Milley saw this before grinning back. "Sounds good to me! Let's do this!" She said before speeding up a bit past Slay.

"Oh now, let's see if you can keep up then!" Slay grinned before dashing past her at a higher speed. He left in a boost, leaving a dust trail behind him as well as an orange one too.

Milley gasped out in surprise watching him speed off into the dense jungle. Because of this, she began to use her three tails to lift up into the air, following Slay. "H-hey! Wait up!" She called out before dashing after him.

As she did, Slay laughed as he sped on through the jungle, going through a few loops and corkscrews. Milley followed after him on the same platforms before they reached a flat area through the jungle. Once they were, Milley caught up to Slay as she flew at his side.

"Do you know where we're going?" She asked once she made it, Slay looking over at her as he nodded.

"That would be the center of the island." Slay explained before looking forward. "Shouldn't be too far from here." He said as Milley nodded.
