"This is it. Today I'll finally be able to finish my creation." Eggman said, a chuckle echoing in the hall through the facility. He was walking down the hall with both Orbot and Cubot following him. At the end of the hall was a large metal door, closed and locked. "All I need is a sample of DNA, most likely his and I'll be set." He said before stopping at the door. At the keypad, he would type in a code. "Orbot! Have preparations been made?" He asked, looking back at the two robots.
This startled Orbot for a moment before he could bring up his hologram screen with his eyes. On the screen were the blueprints of a large mech, as well as the stats and the completion of it glowing in red. "Y-yessir! Everything has been accounted for." He said as he deactivated the hologram, looking up at Eggman.
"Excellent." Eggman grinned as the doors opened in front of him, steam pouring out from the doors as they opened. "This will be a test run. One for something great!"
Meanwhile at HERO Headquarters, Slay and Milley were walking together after leaving Central Command. She held her communicator in one hand, placing it into her pocket before looking over at Slay as he looked back her way.
"So, how does it feel to be a member now?" Slay asked her as he smiled a bit.
"It feels great." Milley smiled back, then looked forward for a moment. "But I do have a few questions, if you don't mind that is."Slay chuckled a bit as he nodded. "Alright, shoot I'm all ears."
"So, how does this system work? I heard you talking to Slash about it before leaving." Milley asked as she looked over at him. She would then take out a card that looked like an ID. "And here it says something about Rank B, Clearance 5." She explained, pointing at it.
"Right. Well Ranks are based on your stats and performance. That and missions as well too" Slay began to explain. "They go from D to S. S Ranks are very powerful and skillful, having missions that requires quite a bit. D Ranks are not as powerful, but still do a lot. Most of the time patrolling cities." Slay explained to her, the fox following along."Clearance ranks are for getting into certain areas within the facility. Going from one to seven, one means you have access to the basics including living and common areas. Seven means complete access." Slay explained as he held up a finger as he grinned.
"Oh! I see now." Milley said as she looked at her ID. "Sounds good to me." She continued before putting her ID back up. "However, where will I be staying?" She asked, watching other mobians that were members passing them.
As they reached the end of the hall, they made it to some double doors. "I might have to change your clearance..." Slay said as he chuckled a bit, entering a pin code on a number pad beside the door.
"Why's that?" Milley asked as she raised a brow, watching him as he put in the code. The doors opened up into what seemed like the common area from before. Milley seemed amazed as the door opened up at that moment.
Slay walked in as he turned around to face her, walking backwards into the room. "Because you'll be staying here. With me and the others basically." He said as he stopped, arms out as he grinned. "This is our living quarters."
"Whoa..." Milley said as she walked in, tails swaying as she looked around. "This looks amazing." She said as she looked around to see it all. The living room, the kitchen, all that it had, including all the rooms on both sides.
"Yep. This is where me and my family stay. Us siblings and such." Slay explained as he walked into the kitchen. "Since you'll be under my wing, I thought why not let you stay around and such." Slay said as he walked up to the room beside him to the left. He knocked on the door, both watching it open up. "So this is where you'll be staying."
