I can't do it to Sook, she can't have any hopes, not with the two of us.

Sook tried this morning and the whole school day somehow, somehow, to get to me but I can't.

I have to keep my distance, otherwise it will hurt more for her and me.

"I still have to go to town, go ahead alone" with that I disappeared as fast as I can.

It's hard to be cold with her, to ignore her, not to hug her.

I have to pull myself together, she won't be able to stop me.

I got to a store, I went in and bought everything I needed.

Maybe I shouldn't do it after all, maybe there is another solution.

I approached the register, my heart pounding.

Okay, if the receipt shows a 6, I won't do it, I'll go back to Sook.

I put my purchases down and had them scanned.

"That would be 5900 ₩, please"

Crap! I was so close.

I packed my things and moved home.

I stopped in front of the door

If Sook is home, I won't do it.

I opened the door with my keys and was greeted with silence.

"Sook?" I called into the house but no one answered, I was on the other side again.

I put my school supplies in my room and went to Sook's.

There I took the picture frames and changed them, exchanging two pictures and adding another one.

I went back to my room and put down my letter.

Suddenly I heard the car door close outside, Mom is home.

I went to my room and looked at the documents Sook stole from mom, now or never.

If mom proves her innocence, I'll stay here

I went down the stairs and met mom at the door, she looked at me slightly surprised but noticed the documents in my hand.

"What you have there?" she asked me, slightly interested, and hung up her coat.

"Documents from dad and me" I said only bluntly and picked up the mentioned documents in my hands.

She froze and gives me a shocked look.

"Is it true that you are spending my inheritance from dad?" I asked, pulling the legacy out of the documents.

"Where did you get it?" she asked me and approached me.

It scared me, she looked shocked but at the same time she knew what to do.

I took a few steps back and made my way to the living room.

"You didn't answer my question" I said.

"You should never find out anything" she said in shock and tried to tear the documents out of my hands, but I was faster and quickly hid them behind my back.

"Why didn't you tell me about dad's death?" I asked in shock and looked her in the eyes.

They told me something about anger but also about greed, she had no pity for anyone.

"You would have found out about your inheritance if I had told you, I can't risk that" she said so naturally.

"Didn't you ever love father?!" I yelled in shock, which made her freeze again.
