today, jake had never laughed so much and had so much fun.
today, sunghoon had never felt so much joy with another person.
but of course, all good things come to and end, right ?

the sky was a mix of pink and blue hues, the breeze was light and warm. two pairs of feet came to a stop outside a convenience store, school must have ended as students could be seen along the streets. they entered the store, rows of shelves lined with multiple snacks and drinks.
mellow music played around the store, it was soft and felt like sleepy elevator music, not too loud but loud enough to be heard. it created the perfect atmosphere to think. think about all the things in life, as he walked down one of the aisles, separating from sunghoon.
korea wasn't like australia.
jake couldn't understand much of anything here, the shops, the people, the food, the culture it was so different. to everyone else, he may look completely normal in this country with his appearance but to him it's impossible to define the line between who he is and where he belongs.
he felt like a child, incapable of doing tasks by himself, always needing the assistance of an adult. sunghoon, being the 'adult' he relied upon. he could blame the language barrier, being from another country or not learning about his own culture when he should have but, in the end it doesn't make it any easier to fit in.
coming here, would it have been better to stay in australia?
maybe not,
only if sunghoon stayed by his side, he would not regret coming here.
his company simply made jake the happiest, it wasn't anything too special but to be happy with someone that is happy to be with you, is the best feeling jake would ever want to experience.
jake had spent a single day and a half with sunghoon but he could tell it wasn't just the way it made him feel happy, but his kindness, his personality and how he was able to pretend that nothing happened earlier and go about his day. jake admired him for his perfect looks, the warmth of his hands and body.
the brown haired boy stood staring at a ramyeon container in particular, thinking, just thinking. he felt content with sunghoon, he hoped maybe, just maybe he would like to spend more time with him as well.
