Teli POV:

And so, my first day at RAD began the next day. Or at least I believe so, since it turns out that it's always nighttime at the Devildom and I just have to count on seeing the seven brothers leaving the House of Lamentation in their uniforms as well.

Not surprisingly, none of the brothers, including Mammon who was supposed to keep an eye on me, escorted me to the school, and so I ended up trailing quietly behind them while they all did their own thing, in order to find my way.

And I'm just going to admit it, I didn't really feel safe. I may be strong but I'm not insane, not yet anyway, I knew there were demons who'd want to hurt me, despite Lord Diavolo's orders. If I'll be attacked, I only know that I'll be able to do my best in holding the attacks off until Lucifer or one of the brothers showed up but keeping them away completely? Not so much.

'I'll just have to show no fear!' I thought to myself as I walked down the school's hallway, tugging at my tie before glaring at it, 'I really need to get rid of this thing...'

As I stood by my locker, slowly putting away the books, I heard two students gossiping nearby.

"Hey, check it out. That's the human that everyone's been talking about. You think it's true what they say, that Mammon became a babysitter?" Demon A wondered.

"Well, if so, then I'd say that actually works out great, doncha think? If we wait and strike when he's not paying attention, he'll never figure out it was us." Demon B stated.

"C'mon, we should devour the human before Beel does." Demon A said.

And this, was the point I've gone insane.

'Not if I have something to scream about it!' I thought.

My head sharply turned towards the two demons, making them freeze at my sudden action and sharp glare, 'I don't need Mammon! I'll set my ground here on my own and show that I'm still not to be messed with, just like back in the human world, EVEN if it means not having friends here as well!'

"What's that? You want a piece of me?" I asked harshly as I turned around, my hand sliding against the locker door as it closed it.

The pair gave out small shocked and surprised cries as I walked closer to them, "What?"

"No, I've heard you clearly, you'd like to see if you won't get a heartburn from curles, don't you?" I backed away a little and held out my hands in a welcoming gesture, as if I was about to give them a hug, "Then go on right ahead! But just remember that I have the demons' lord and the avatars of the seven deadly sins on speed dial! And even they won't save you from me!" I announced daringly with a cynical smile.

Maybe I wasn't THAT insane, I knew I have no shot against those two on my own, but if they're dumb enough not to listen to my warning about my demon acquaintances, knowing who they are, maybe they'll be dumb enough to listen to the warning about me since they don't know a thing about me.

And it actually seemed to have worked! As the two demons started backing off and leaving.

"That's right! Get lost!" I yelled after them as I walked away quickly before they'll change their mind.

"Hey, you there." I jumped a bit and froze in place as a new voice called me from behind.

Slowly turning around, I found myself facing a boy around my age with grayish-white hair, gray eyes and wearing the school uniform with some kind of a bolo instead of the yellow, annoying tie. A look of curiousity and amusement tinkled in his eyes as a mischievous smile danced across his lips.
