The Incredible Disappearing Doggy

No One POV:

Teli pulled a face.

"I'm sorry, could you repeat that?" She asked, not believing what she just heard.

"We're having a surprise inspection...!" Beel obliged, not noticing her reaction.

"A surprise insepction? What do you mean?" Luke asked. 

"I mean exactly what I said." Beel replied shortly, stopping the search for a second, "Lucifer shows up unannounced, and goes around each room to see if anyone is out past curfew."

Luke smiled.

"Oh. In that case,  all I have to do is hide, right? Maybe under the bed, or behind the curatins-"

"Oh no. You'll have to do WAY better than that. Lucifer does more than check to see if everyone's in their rooms. He also searches the inside of the room itself. Asmodeus had a witch that he'd brought back home one night in his room. She transformed into a spider and hid, but Lucifer's still found her." Beel told them.

Teli pulled a harder face.

"Okay, 1. What are you guys, 5? Why on Earth do you need an inspection? And 2. How is that a surprise if you already know about it?" She asked as Beel kept searching for a hideout.

"Wha...?! Why does he have to go to such lengths? We didn't have anything like that at Prguatory Hall!" Luke asked a bit after Teli finished.

"That's because you don't have Lucifer living with you at Prugatory Hall." Beel replied before turning to answer Teli, "He originally started doing it because Mammon kept sneaking out after curfew and coming home late. And he'd hide stacks of unpaid bills in his room so no one could find them."

Teli rolled her eyes hard.

"Ugh! Mammon!" She groaned out, slummping her hands against her sides.

"Ugh... Mammon, that IDIOT!" Luke chimed in as well.

"There will be time to blame Mammon later. Right now you need to hide. Get inside the closet." Beel finally stated and opened the closet on Belphie's side.

"What's the point of me hiding in the closet?! I mean, you said he even found a witch that had transformed herself into a spider, right?!" Luke reminded him.

"Well, if you keep standing there doing nothing, he'll find you for sure. I'll think of some excuse to keep him from looking in there. Now hurry!" Beel rushed and shoved Luke inside.

"G'ah...mmph!" His muffled voice slipped through the doors.

"And just so you know, Luke: If you won't do your best staying quiet. Lucifer'll be the least of your worries!" Teli warned him. Mainly it'll be because Lucifer will become Beel's and her worst of worries.

And just as they hurried to stand by their beds like soldeirs, the door to their room opened and Lucifer came waltzing in.

"...All right... inspection time." He informed, looking at the two, "Beel, Talia. I see you're both here." 

Beel nooded while Teli shrugged casually as if to say 'Guilty' while her heart marched to that in a different beat.

"I'm going to have a look through your room to be certain everything's in order here. But before I do, is there anything you'd like to tell me?" He didn't ask, ordered. Did he already know and this was his way of slowly torturing them until his big reveal?

If so, Teli wasn't going to just stand there.

"Actually yes!" She started, leaving a short gap of suspension before deciding to stop before Beel'll get a heart attack, "I've puked my breakfast earlier today so if you smell anything or see me pulling faces, don't mind it too much, kay?"
