Teli POV:
So after almost getting lost in a house that belongs to 7 demon brothers (If that doesn't tell you how wrong things could've turned out, you clearly haven't watched 'The Addams Family'), Levi and I finally made it to his room.
And I'm sorry, even if I DID know where his room is, I'd still think I accidentally entered someone's oddest bathroom rather than someone's... oddest room.
As I tried to figure out why is there a tub where the bed should be, I noticed Levi sticking his head out to the corridor, looking right and left before shutting it quickly.
I stared at him in question.
"...What's that now? You're want to know why I looked around to see if anyone was watching before I closed the door?" He asked.
"No, I wanna know why do you have a tub full of pillows inside your room." I replied sarcastically but he ignored me.
"Why do you THINK I did that?! Isn't it obvious?! Imagine what would happen if someone saw me inviting you into my room! A human who doesn't even look like an otaku, but a normie! You know what people would say, right?!" He questioned me again.
"That you have a very strange choice in words...?" I guessed teasingly as I gave him an annoyed look since I've read anime fanfics once and I knew what normie means! And with all due respect. I'm an otaku of sorts. Maybe I'm not that big into anime and manga but I'm pretty sure my obssesion with the unknown is cosidered unhealthy, "And FYI, I'm an otaku too! Kinda..."
"Really? You are...?" Levi's eyes lit up but then he turned grumpy again, "W-Well, if you think that means I'll give you special treatment now, you've got another thing coming! Because I won't!"
Do all the Avatars of Sins have a light switch in their head that are continuesly switching between 'Excited and Happy' to 'I'm gonna make Teli Lambert add another layer of depth in my grave'? Why are they all so grumpy??
As I kept thinking philosophical questions, I've noticed Levi's bookcase, which was full of thick, hardcover books as big as encyclopedias.
"What is it, human? What're you looking at?" Levi demanded to know as he looked at the direction I did before his face lit up again, "Wait, that looks like... The Tale of the Seven Lords. Are you a fan of that, too?"
"Huh? Never heard of it." I looked at him with a shrug before looking at again, "But wish I did, that sounds like something that floats my boat."
"Well then, I guess I'm just going to have to explain the story to you, aren't I? I'm going to spend the next hour giving you a crash course on TSL. So, pay attention." He warned me.
A crash course? OH NO-
"NO WAIT! You're gonna spoil i-"
"The Tale of the Seven Lords, otherwise known as TSL, is a series of fantasy novels written by Christopher Peugeot." I groaned mentally. Here we go with more rumbling... I guess the brothers have more things in common than I thought...
Oh well! It's still better than Mammon moping about how his brothers treat him...
"It's a heroic epic spanning 138 volumes, and it's the most widely-read series in the world. There are even theatrical versions, an animated series, and feature films, too. And it's been translated into a total of 182 different languages." I looked at Levi with wide eyes
138?! Writing one book is a life mission, how the hell this Christopher guy has written 138??
