Teli POV:

"...Finally. I've been waiting for you to show up." Levi's voice greeted me as I entered the Observatory, giving him a tight smile as I continued approaching him, "It took you long enough. When I call for you, you need to come right away, understand? Don't walk, run. I want you moving at light speed. Like the way Henry races over whenever his best friend the Lord of Shadow calls on him. You saw the TSL DVDs, so you should know. He comes riding up on the winged unicorn that he won off the Lord of Fools in a bet."

'Don't we need to be friends first?' I thought bitterly but I couldn't help but keep smiling as his expression lit up like a Christmas tree as it always does when he talks about TSL.

But his expression changed quickly as it always does when he talks with me.

"...Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying you and I are best friends or anything. As if." He said but his expression told me something and I stared as him in concentration and thought, "So, do you know why I called you here?"

"Let's patch things up between us." I let out before I could stop myself but I didn't regret it one bit.

"EXCUSE ME? What do you mean patch things up? In order to patch things up, we would've had to be on good terms to begin with, wouldn't we?" He mumbled, looking away from me.

"Oh c'mon, Dude! Aside from the beginning, where Mammon pissed the both of us off, we were getting along pretty good! You can't tell me you don't agree." I countered.

He looked back at me again as I stared at him in anticipation.

"I don't remember you and me ever being buddies. Not any time in the last 500 years at least. So, don't go getting the wrong idea." He finally said, staring at me dead in the eye as my expression changed into disappointment.

Silence filled the room for a few minutes before he finally spoke up.

"...All right, look. Here's the thing. You remember why we decided to have that competition in the first place, right? It was to see who the bigger TSL fan was. And I told you that if you won, I'd enter into a pact with you." He glared at me with disgust.

"That little trump card you pulled out was a real dirty trick..." I gave an apologatic look as I tried to look everywhere but at him, "...but a promise if a promise, after all. It really kills me to do this... it makes my stomach churn. But, I'll keep my end of the bargin."

My head snapped towards him as my eyes wided only to see him smiling at me.

"I'll do it. I'll make a pact with you." He emphasised and held out his hand for me to take and seal the deal.

Unconciousely, my hand started moving towards his but I quickly pulled it away.

"No wait. After you left, Lord Diavolo announced that we tied. Neither of us won the game. You are not in debt to me." I held my hand close to me and only now noticed it was the one that got injured but it didn't matter now, "If you don't want to make a pact, then it's alright for you not to."

He stared at me in surprise before his glance went down.

"Well, then I was not supposed to harm you either." He said and I understood he was talking about my hand.

And I realized why he was doing this... He felt guilty. He regretted attacking me and he feels like it's the only way to make things right.

"Actually, you said you'd kill me if I'd failed, and you didn't, so... at the end I didn't fill up my end of the bargin either." I pointed out, trying to make it sound like this whole thing was just an exaggerate.
