he didn't have to wait long for her outside the rivera. She came up behind him saying "Dan." Making him jump. " Di! You scared me" "sorry" she grinned at him and hugged him tightly. They stayed there for at least 4 minutes. Diane broke the peaceful silence saying "I love you, Dan" " I'm glad to hear it. I love you, too"
"I'm guessing you're the Lewises" a voice said from behind them.
Their heads turned towards his voice blushing bright red " oh no we're not married " Dan managed to say but thought he saw Diane frown at that. Does she wish we were married?! "But yes, I am Dan Lewis."

" my apologies. Please come in. your table is in the back corner over there. "

Dan started to head in but Diane held onto his right hand causing him to turn back towards her.
"What? "
She smiled and walked in gently pulling him with her.
" I just wanted to hold your hand"
He grinned and they headed over to the table together.
When they reached the table Diane reluctantly let go of his hand but as he picked up the menu he found her hand already on the menu as they had reached for it at the same time. They both blushed but didn't let go.

" is it a silly question to ask if this is a real date? " she asked.
" do you want it to be? "
"Yes"
"Then no it's not a silly question because I was wanting to know that too. So, yes, this is a real date."
She didn't let go of his hand and they were lost in each other's eyes.
Before having a second thought Dan stood up and, still holding her hand, pulled her gently to her feet, and looked at her lips. He mustered up the courage, pulled her body gently nearer, his right hand holding her left, and leaning in with his left hand on her shoulder he kissed her, pulling away quickly as if scared.
Diane was smiling uncontrollably. "Kiss me again,Dan"
She pulled him closer letting go of his hand so she could be as near to him as possible with her arms around him. He kissed her again and they forgot where they were. She kissed him back and he pushed her against the wall, only stopping for air. They were both grinning, and Dan felt complete.

They kissed for the third time.

" what can I get you? - oh sorry "

They pulled out of the kiss reluctantly and Di looked down very embarrassed. " two skinny lattes with an extra shot please? "

"That all sir?"
"Yes, please."
He nodded not wanting to disturb them any longer. He walked off.

" but you don't have---"
" I want to see what my girlfriend likes so much. And I just wanted to kiss her again. "
"girlfriend?"
" well what else are you? "
