NO REGRET FOR LOVE

"Jheyiene! Let's go!" Dad shouted from the ground floor. I was busy packing my things and put it on my baggage.

"I'm coming dad!" I shouted too. I'm in the second floor right now so I really needed to shout.

"Did I forget something?" I ask myself. I'm already done packing all of my things. I'm just checking if I forget something. Everything's important to me so, I really needed to confirm that I did not forget even a single thing.

"All are packed right?" I ask myself again. When I convinced myself that I didn't forget anything. I opened the door and bring my baggage with me.

"Are you done? Let's go!" Dad said he just put my things at the back. I opened the shot gun seat and just stay there 'til he finished.

He open the driver's seat and start the engine. He start driving and I'm just watching outside the window.

Lilipat na kami ng tirahan for good. Na assign na naman kase sa isang branch si daddy kaya pati ako kailangan ring sumama.

It was a long and tiring ride. Nakaidlip ako saglit, nagising na lang ako ng mapansing tumigil na ang sasakyan.

'Here we are' I opened the car's door and help dad with our baggage.

We stood up in front of our new house after we put all the baggage out of the car. It's not a big house, it's not also small. Sakto lang para sa'ming mag ama.

"Do you like the house?" Dad suddenly ask. He put his hand around my arm and pulled me closer to him.

"Yes dad! As long as I'm with you" I answered. He lightly kissed the top of my head and hug me.

"Jheyiene! Come out! You'll be late!" Dad shouted outside my room. I slept a bit long, it's been a week since we moved here and everything just went right.

Today is my first day in school. I'm a little bit excited and nervous at the same time. Wala pa akong kakilala dito except sa matandang babae na kapitbahay namin.

Siya 'yong palagi kong nakakausap sa labas ng bintana ng kwarto ko kapag wala si daddy. Lagi kase siyang nasa may veranda nila, nakaupo na katapad lang ng bintana no'ng kwarto ko.

I took a quick shower and wear a simple maong pants and a white branded shirt, partnered with white sneakers.

Hindi pa ako naka-uniform because I just transferred. Next week pa makukuha ang uniform ko kaya naka civilian muna suot ko ngayon.

I get my bag and went down to have breakfast with dad. I saw him getting the foods ready.

"Hi dad! Good morning!" I greeted and kiss his cheek.

"Hmm, good morning my angel! Sit down, let's eat breakfast" He pulled the chair for me. My dad is such a gentleman, no doubt why mom actually fall for him.

"Eat a lot. It's your first day" He smile and start putting a lot of foods in my plate. I can't complain since nalagay na naman 'yon sa plate ko. Wala naman akong magagawa, masasayang lang 'yon kapag binalik ko.

Nagmadali kaming kumain para makaalis rin ng maaga. Baka maabutan kami ng traffic at ma late kami pareho.

Dad washed the dishes. We both enter the car and he start the engine.
