When you all walked out onstage again, Josh was smiling at you from the audience.
You smiled back, and winked at him, just 'cause.
He blushed, and you went to hold Mackenzie and Paige's hand, because they were next to you.
They were announcing solo awards first.
You and Nia and Maddie and all wished each other luck.
"Eighth overall goes to..." The announcer said, "Jessica with 'The Converse Shoes!'"
You tried to hold back a giggle, as Jess went up.
She looked pissed.
Then they announced seventh, and sixth, and fifth, but no you, Nia, Maddie, or Ava.
"In fourth place...Ava with Let it Be!"
Ava looked a little down, but still smiled when she got her award.
"In third place...Nia with I Was Here!"
Nis smiled big, as she got the trophy.
"And...only 1/10 of a point separates 2nd and 1st."
You shut your eyes and prayed.
Nothing else mattered.
"Second place...Maddie with What Now!"
Wow.
Maddie smiled, as she got up to accept her award.
You squeezed Paige and Mackenzie's hands.
Not Josh, or Jess, but winning Nationals.
"And...your Intensity Dance national champion winner for teen solo's is....(Y/N) with Thinking Out Loud!"
Did that just happen.
Mackenzie got up and clapped shouting, "My #1 bae!"
Paige had to pull you up, you were so surprised.
They crowned you, and put a sash over you.
It felt amazing.
"And tell us the name of your studio." The announcer said.
"Abby Lee Dance Company." You smiled.
Everyone clapped, and you couldn't im okay but look where Josh was sitting.
He was standing, and clapping, and wooing, which made you smile.
Now it was groups.
You grabbed Paige and Kenzie's hands.
"Third overall, on the teen group category...Elastic Heart!"
Lucas got up to accept the award.
You looked at Cathy in the audience and she looked pissed.
Then they announced second, and no ALDC.
"Top spot...you national winner for intensity Dance is...Addiction!"
Wow.
You all stood up, happy as ever, to accept the award.
"And what's the name of your studio?"
"Abby Lee Dance Company!" You all yelled.
You looked and saw Abby clapping with her hands up in the air.
You looked and saw the moms standing and clapping.
You smiled broadly, wondering how this was your life.
When awards were all over, you all ran back in the dressing room, screaming and hollering.
He moms were screaming and hollering, along with Abby.
"Let me see the trophy." Abby said, taking the trophy from Maddie's grasp.
You playfully rolled your eyes, while your hugged you, whispering in your ear.
"You were amazing, and I'm so proud."
When you pulled away from her, you bumped into someone.
"Sorry." You mumbled when you turned around
You frowned.
"What is it, Josh?"
