Josh couldn't make it to the competition, because he had a hockey game.

But your mom was going to record it, so you could send a video to him.

You sat with Mackenzie on the bus, and felt her pain.

She was the youngest on the team, and felt like everyone treated her like a baby.

The first night was just like last weeks; staying up late, watching movies, doing hair.

But you nervous to meet Cathy.

"She's a witch."

"She's rude."

"She did a dance to my song!"

These were all things the girls had told you.

Before you left, Abby told you to wear your new jacket.

The bus ride was only a half hour, but your were anxious.

When you arrived, all you saw was red.

No pun intended.

When Abby got off the bus, there was some cheering, but mostly booing.

You saw Cathy, inside the building with her team.

It looked like she was giving them a pep talk.

"Whatever you do, don't make eye contact." Abby whispered.

You all walked past her, and she said, "Hello Abby, moms. Girls. Hi sweetie." How are you."

You realized that last part, was to you.

You pretended not to hear her, and kept walking.

You saw some team members, and you immediately recognized the girl you were competing against.

It was Ava Cota.

You had competed against her before, and lost.

But you thought that her mom owned a studio, why was she at Candy Apples?

Let me tell you who was in her team: Hadley, Nicaya, Lucas, Gino, Gavin, Mkenzie, and Ava.

You all walked to the dressing room, and the room was very big.

"Ooo! This is nice!" Abby said.

"Solos are first!" She said.

You got into your costume, and your mom did your hair and makeup.

"C'mon, (Y/N), let's run your solo." Abby told you.

You nodded, and got up.

You started running your solo, and saw Chloe out of the corner of your eye, practicing in the corner.

You felt bad, but kept dancing.

"Ok. I need Chloe, and (Y/N)." The stage director said, coming into the dressing room.

"Good luck girls!" Abby said.

You followed the stage manager backstage.

Then you realized, that Ava was on Abby's old new team.

Well Abby made mistake getting rid of her, cause she improved, and now she's amazing.

"Up next in the teen category, we have Chloe, with Saturday nights." The announcer said.

You Chloe a good luck hug, and she went onstage.

As far as you were concerned, Chloe looked great, but Abby expression was like she had just seen a ghost.

"Abby's face." Chloe cried.

"It's alright." You said.

"Next in the teen category, we have Ava, with It Will Rain." The announcer said.

Ava went out and did her dance perfectly, that was going to be hard to beat.

"Beat that." She smirked, coming off.

What a bitch.

You had to beat her.

"And our last entry in the teen solo, is (Y/N), with New York City."

You waltzed onto the stage, and did your dance.

Again, you made eye contact with the judges, and did your dance as well as you could.

You waltzed off the stage, and saw Abby smiling.

"Great job!" Chloe said, smiling.

You smirked at Ava, and she glared at you.

You and Chloe ran into the dressing room, and hugged your mom.

"Great job honey. I'm so proud of you." Your mom beamed.

"Thank you." You smiled.

"Alright, duet. Paige, Maddie." Abby said.
