(Excuse my typos)
Pov: Marcel Kings"I graded your tests" Mr. Howard announce to the class "it's evident that many of you didn't study," he said as he took a seat in his chair in front of the lecture hall.
"Please keep in mind that not only did I announce this test 3 weeks in advance, but I also assigned a review packet, there is no reason a majority of you should have done this horrible on the test.
I knew he wasn't talking about me, I never get lower than a 98 on any test or quiz in any of my courses
Mr. Howard paused and scanned the room "That being said I would like to congratulate Marcel Kings for passing the test with a 112%" he said as he looked in my direction and smiled "no surprise there of course"
I smiled and nodded feeling a bit awkward as some of my classmates turned to me rolling their eyes.
Many people tend to think I'm a so-called "Try hard" when in reality I'm just naturally a genius. Or in my case, Unnaturally.
I've never studied a day in my life but due to my abilities, I know everything. There's no question you can ask me that I don't know the answer to.
As I'm walking to my next class, my best friend Jess falls into step with me "Hey bestieee" she says in a sing-song voice
"Hey jess" I replied. Jess and I have been friends since my first day at the university over time we became closer and closer. She's Indian with short curly hair and deep dimples when she smiles. she's also really short, 5'3 to be exact.
"soooo," she said looking up at me.
"soooo" I replied with a questioning look. She pulled out her phone and Immediately I knew what she was gonna say
"Nope" I replied walking faster. "come on, please. I know it's like a reoccurring thing but I promise this is the last time. I won't ask again" she said looking at me with puppy dog eyes.
"Jess how do you manage to constantly drop your phone in water," I said taking her phone from her hands and pulling out my shades from my back pocket
"Idk it fell in the water fountain outside and now it won't work"
I stopped walking as I put the shades on. The shades prevent others from seeing my eyes because they glow bright green when I activate my powers.
If it was only me and jess in these halls I wouldn't need these glasses because she's aware of my powers
I looked down at her phone to fix it. I began with the inner circuit that I could sense was no longer operating cause of the water in it. That took me 5 seconds to fix. I fixed the drenched chip which short-circuited and her phone was good as new.
"Here and this is the last time," I said knowing this will happen again. "Omg thank you thank you thank you" she sang hugging me around the waist
"Yea yea ok enough please," I said patting her on the head. I wasn't a big fan of physical touch.
We both walked into our Calculus and analysis class and took our seats

"Can I get a volunteer to answer the last question?" Mrs. Brewer asked.
I raised my hand for the 10th time during this class
"Come on, anyone besides Marcel. He can't be the only one who knows all the answers"
In reality, yes I was.
Amanda in the back raised her hand "Okay Amanda go ahead' Mrs. Brewer said.
"I got 3078 to the power of 9" Amanda responded
"Not quite, Marcel, you wanna help her out she said looking in my direction
"8021 to the power of 2" I replied
"Correct, and how did you get that answer Marcel"
"W-well I um took the s-square root of the numerator and I-I um-multiplied it by 30 and divided t-the product by h-half of the de-denominator," I said looking down as soon as I finished. Every time I spoke in front of a group of people, I never failed to stutter. I heard a few people snicker at me
My face heated up by how embarrassed I was.
"That is correct thank you Mar," she said giving me a proud smile.
I kept my head down pretending that there was something so interesting about the table.
I felt jess put her hand on my arm and I looked up she gave me a small smile and mouthed "It's okay". She knows how much I hate stuttering like that in front of people.
Needless to say, I kept my mouth shut for the rest of the class

"I don't think I'm gonna compete jess," I said referring to the spelling be the university is hosting. The first-place winner receives a cash prize of 10,000 dollars.
"Why not mar come on, you would win"
"That's the problem," I said as I propped my phone up on the desk in front of me
"I know I would win. I have an advantage. It's not fair to everyone else who doesn't have the ability that I have and actually have to prepare." I said leaning back in my desk chair "I would be cheating if I entered the competition"
"Typical Marcel always wanna do the right thing," she said jokingly rolling her eyes in the camera.
I stared at my phone using my powers to send a shock to her phone, stinging her hand.
"OW" She yelped I hate when u do that Mar. Why do I still even call you," she said as she hung up.
I laughed to myself, she'll get over it, she always does.
I opened my computer and waved my hand in front of it causing it to turn on "Marcel" I heard it say In my head
"Yes" I replied to it in my head
"Someone wants to talk to you"
"Wh-" before I finished my reply the computer started glitching
Then the face of a man appeared " Hello Marcel"
He looked Asian and had glasses on " Who are you and how do you know my-" he interjected
"My name is Mark Liu. I'm a scientist that works with metas. I already know everything about you. I need your help"
"What is goi-" before I could finish he said
"If you want to know more meet me at the address I just sent to your email. I swear I am not a threat to you. Please trust me"
Before I could reply he was gone. I sat there In confusion "what just happened" I kept thinking to myself. after a few minutes, I opened my email.
I opened the most recent one and it read

I stared at the email for a few minutes, confused about what is happening.
