Banana Controversity

You head into the kitchen and wave to the girls who have started on dinner already, when you hear a low rumble on the stairs.

The thumping gets super loud as Denki and Kirishima stampede past you, dragging along Deku behind them. A few seconds later, the boys are back in the kitchen, this time forcibly herding a belligerent Bakugo along with them.

"Let go, Kirishima, dammit! I told you extras Im not going shopping!"

Kirishima waves to us goodbye and they'd be back in a flash with all the ingredients Momo and Uraraka requested for the banana cake.

The girls smile their thanks and send them on their way. "So, how'd it go with Bakugo?" Momo inquires as she chops some vegetables.

"How'd what go with Bakugo?" Mina repeats, joining the conversation.

"Oh, it went okay. It's my meeting with Bakugo to go over our presentation for tomorrow. He fought with me in the beginning and acted a little irregular, but eventually we were able to get everything done for tomorrow."

"That reminds me, I haven't even started preparing for tomorrow!" Mina groans.

"Here, do you want to borrow my presentation notes?" You offer Mina the papers.

"Omg, yes! You are a lifesaver," Mina takes them and gives you a hug.

"Is there anything I can do to help you with dinner?" you look around the kitchen and ask.

"Sure!" Mina says before Momo can respond, "You can finish what I was doing. I'm going to go work on my presentation, see ya!" Mina waves behind her as she dashes up the stairs in the back of the kitchen.
You share a knowing glance with Momo, "Mina just wanted to get out of helping in the kitchen, didn't she?"

"Yeah. After she kept trying to eat everything, I put her on cleaning duty," Momo says.

Uraraka sidles over, "But you can just come help me because there really isn't anything to clean. We just kept spilling things on purpose, so she would have something to do."

You grin between Momo and Uraraka, "You guys are so bad!"

Higakure comes out of the large pantry carrying a bunch of food and sets everything on the counter.

About an hour later, dinner is done being made and you finish washing all the cooking supplies in the kitchen. The boys burst through the dorm entrance and stumble, trying to push past each other into the kitchen. They dump all the groceries on the floor and continue bickering between themselves.

Momo walks over to them and puts her hands on her hips, "What is all this?! I sent you to buy a few cake ingredients, not clean out the entire store!"

"Well," Kirishima scratches the back of his head, "There were so many choices, we didn't know what brand to buy for most things on the list, so we bought them all."

"What kind of logic is that?" you giggle, coming to stand beside Momo.

"Yeah," Uraraka agrees, "And you could have just called us to ask."

Higakure sighs, "This is the last time we ever send you all out to do the shopping."

"I didn't even want go in the first place!" Bakugo rages from behind Denki.

"And why are there so many bananas in here?" Uraraka stares down into a bag. "There's like 20 in here and we only asked for 5..."

Midoriya sighs, "There was a... disagreement about which bananas looked best, so we bought them all."

"I still think mine are the best." Denki nudges an arm at Bakugo, "At least they weren't brown like the ones Bakugo chose."

"Shut up, Idiot!" Bakugo elbows him back, "My mom says those ones are the best!"

"Well... it looks like we're going to be having banana cake for a while now." Uraraka starts taking things out of the grocery bags and putting them on the counter. "Y/N, why don't you go with the boys because don't need your help anymore."

"Yeah," Higakure claps her invisible hands, "We want the cake to be a surprise!"

"Okay, okay, I can take a hint!" You raise your arms in surrender and back out of the kitchen with the boys.

They disperse into the living room sitting on random different spots. Slowly, over the next ten minutes, the rest of class 1A joins us down in the living room. In a few more minutes, Momo, Higakure, and Uraraka come out of the kitchen announcing the official start of the party and that the dinner table is set and the cake is in the oven and will be ready soon.

Everyone cheers, Mina and Denki being the loudest, and you all saunter into the dining room. Everyone is laughing and talking jovially. The table is packed with food and it's not long before most of the serving dishes are empty. Iida tries to call everyone to order when you first sit down, but it is a pointless endeavor. Higakure and Uraraka disappear near the end of the meal, to finish decorating the cake.

Somehow, in the melee of choosing seats at the large dining table, Bakugo somehow ended up siting right across from you.

The entire meal so far, he glares at you in between bites. You get that he didn't want to go shopping, but it's not your fault he got dragged along. Sheesh.

Uraraka carries the cake and sets it down in front of you. Higakure, bouncing excitedly next to her.

"Welcome to the dorm!" they shout in unison. That was totally rehearsed.

Everyone around the table cheers and Kirishima lets out a loud "whoop!". The cake is decorated with purple frosting and has a banana smiley face on the top of it.

"Awww! Thanks guys!" you gush and give them all big smiles.

"Hurry up and cut the cake!" Denki complains, earning him a disapproving smack from Mina.

You cut the cake and start handing out slices. Praise from the other classmates of "this looks delicious" and "I can't wait to eat it", goes to the three girls who made it.

When you hand Bakugo his slice, he eyes it suspiciously and grunts, "Tch, banana cake..."

Well... okay then. I guess not everyone is happy with my choice of cake, you think.

The boys practically shovel food in their mouths, while the girls take their time and eat the cake more daintily. Some of the boys, like Denki, Sero, Kirishima- and surprisingly, Todoroki, clamor for seconds of the banana cake.
