Chapter 1

Tobias POV

I awake to the buzzing of my cell phone on my bedside table. The sign telling me to get up and ready for school. I roll over to my side and lay there for a second. I rub the sleep off my eyelids and sit up. I stretch, stand and make my way to the bathroom down the hall. I jump in the shower.

I make my way to the Kitchen down the hall, to have breakfast. Dad or Marcus as I call him is no where to be found. Probably at work which is fine with me because that leaves him less time to beat me. I quickly eat some toast then run out the door, carrying my book bag. A friend of mine, Zeke and his brother Uriah, moved here 2 years before I did and we kept in touch. The three of us agreed on meeting in the front of the school. I jump in the new car Marcus' work got me so I would have a ride to school.

I arrive at school 10 minutes later, looking towards the front of the school. I find Zeke and Uriah who haven't changed since the last time I have seen them with a group of people out front. I walk up and Zeke looks at me like I'm crazy.

"Four my man, how are you?" He asks while pulling me in a hug. I hug him back and answer

"Good, good, you?"

"I awesome, I mean when Shauna's around." He says turning to the girl behind him.

"Good answer" She says giving him a quick peck on the lips "Hey I'm Shauna Zeke's girlfriend, you must be the spectacular Four, who is an awesome 3rd basemen." She says sticking her hand out for me to shake it. I do, and she giggles a little. "There's no way your better than Tris over here though." She says while pointing to the prettiest girl I have ever seen. She has beautiful blonde hair and gray-blue eyes. She's small, but strong and has the best smile I have ever seen.

"Hi, Tris." She says while waving a little then punching Shauna in the arm.

"Let me introduce you to the rest of the gang." Zeke says "Over there, yeah that Will, and then his girlfriend Christina. And then that's the dummie but you know him, and his girlfriend Marlene." I wave at them all and realize I haven't said anything yet and I probably should.

"Hey guys I Four. Just moved here about 3 days ago." I say introducing myself "If you don't mind I gonna quickly get my shedule and then be right back, do one of you mind showing me the way?" I ask, hoping and praying Tris shows me.

"Tris why don't you do it." Shauna says to my surprise.

"Why so you all can make out without feeling bad." She says mocking them, I chuckle and look at her "Sure come on." She says walking to the office. I follow behind.

"So Tris, Shauna thinks your better than me?" I ask trying not to sound all creepy like.

"Yeah, I play 2nd Base for the Varsity Softball team. And Eh I'm ok I guess" She says giggling a little, obliviously she's a little nervous too.
