When it was dark out, Marabella and I left the house, traveling under the cover of darkness. I lead the way, heading towards the beach, The only light guiding us was the full moon above us. Marabella's eyes glowed a liquid gold, her irises seemed to move. This was also a feature that really only more powerful witches had, I was actually starting to get curious about Marabella.

When we got to the shore, I put my bags down before closing my eyes, I was going to cast a spell to allow Marabella to water breath.

I could feel the moon shining brighter on my face, an orb of light forming in my hands, warming them. I murmured the spell, directing it towards Marabella.

I could hear Marabella gasp when the spell finished, the light being transferred to her.

"W-What did you just do?" she asked.

"I assume that since you've lived on land all your life, you don't have the water breathing spell on you."

"Yeah, I guess your right."

I picked up my bags and walked into the water, I had also rehearsed the spell to make Marabella's bag waterproof, I was fairly sure she didn't want her stuff to get wet.

"How are you so comfortable with the cold water?" I heard Marabella call out from behind me.

"You get used to it after living in it for your whole life." I shrugged, coming back towards her. I guess I forgot the water was cold to people who haven't lived here their whole lives.

Marabella groaned before coming back into the water. She was shivering before she was even waist-deep in the water.

"Oh come on, it's not that cold," I said. I was only a tad bit annoyed, this was going to take forever. I didn't want to rush her but we needed to hurry, plus I was so close to completing the mission, soon I will be on the royal guard.

"I-It may not... b-be for... you b-but it is for... m-me" she stuttered, managed to say as she shivered uncontrollably.

"Ugh fine, you're going to slow us down otherwise," I say, in reality, I had only just remembered the spell that keeps you warm.

I closed my eyes and rehearsed the spell.

"Wait, you could've done this the whole time, and you decided to let me suffer? How dare you," Marabella said as soon as the spell took effect.

"I didn't think you would slow us down this much," I shrugged. I don't know why I was becoming this cold towards Marabella, I guess I was just stressed but also excited. I was so close to getting into the royal guard.

"Ok, this is the diving spot," I say once we get to the marking of the Under Sea border.

Marabella and I dived down beneath the waves, I guided her as the darkness of the ocean engulfed us.

***

"What is that?" Marabella asked me as we approached a faint light.

"That's the entrance to the Under Sea," I said.

I led Marabella into the underwater cave I had been told to meet Queen Anastasia in.

Inside, sitting on a rock was her majesty herself, her beauty entrancing us as she wore a beautiful blue V-neck chiffon lace dress with a ruffled skirt, most likely taken from the humans.

I quickly snapped out of it and bowed down.

"My Queen."
