I quickly make my way to class. It's not like I wanted to get there, but I didn't to be scolded by Mr. Craig, he was brutal when it came to missing class. Even being there a minute late could land you in detention.

As I turned the hall I almost bumped into someone, it was then that I realized that lots of people were crowding around someone or something. I squeezed my way through to get a better look. It seemed like two people were having a fight. I recognized one of them as Jake Fisher, a football player, and whose favorite activity seemed to be picking on others.

Jake slammed the girl he was fighting, right into the locker behind her, making a loud clang.

"No one talks to me like that!" He spat in her face.

"Well, no one talks to ME like that. Now get off me!" she shouted right back in return.

Whoever this girl was then shoved Jake, but it didn't seem like a normal shove, she had managed to shove Jake four feet away from her. That could only be the work of someone who was just really really strong, or with the help of a bit of uncontrolled magic, and I had a feeling it was the latter option.

I think I had just found the person I'm looking for. Although I was only ninety-nine percent sure this was Diana Ciro's daughter, even though the facts I've collected led here, there was always the chance that this could be a different witch, one that has been exiled from the Under Sea. But if this person had originally lived in the Under Sea, they would know how to control their magic and never act under the influence of anger. This had to be a newbie, a witch who had been born on land. Just like Diana Ciro's daughter.

"How the hell did you shove me that hard?" I heard Jake yell at her with rage.

"Well, maybe I'm stronger than you as well," she said. I could hear the slight tremble of fear in her voice, a slight tremble that most would not have been able to hear. This person definitely realized that they had messed up.

People had taken their phones out to record, and knowing how humans reacted in this kind of situation, this was most definitely going to end up on their so-called social media platforms. The girl picked up her stuff and left.

It was then that I realized that I should get to class. I was now running late and was most likely going to receive a detention from Mr. Craig. I sighed and left the scene. At least now I had one lead as to who Diana Ciro's daughter might be.

At lunch I scanned the cafeteria looking for that girl, she didn't seem to be anywhere. After checking for a second time with no luck, I decided to make my way around the school. I tried to make it look like I was specifically heading for somewhere and not searching for someone, I didn't want to come off as suspicious.

As I was passing the large window that displayed the many shelves of books the school library owned, I saw someone I recognized sitting at a table by themself, eating lunch. Someone whose long a pure black hair you couldn't miss. I had found her.

I walked into the library and made my way towards her. She seemed to hear me and turned around.

"Hey, I'm Aiden," I said a bit awkwardly, I really didn't know how to sound casual at the moment, so I waved my hand as a friendly gesture. "I saw the video online and thought that it would be nice to meet you."

It was true, I did see the video, it was everywhere. This was clearly not the thing she wanted to hear and I mentally cursed myself for coming up with such a random sentence.

"Hey Aiden, I'm Marabella," she said, I could hear a slight tint of annoyance in her voice, I could only believe that it was from my mention of the video.

I took the seat next to her as she bit into her pepperoni pizza. After trying pepperoni pizza once at school, I had fallen in love with it. Humans might come up with really weird names but they sure did make good food.

"So uh, it was pretty brave of you to stand up to Jake I guess. No one ever does that." I didn't know what else to say but facts. I've seen many people get picked on by Jake and no one ever stood up to him.

"Well, it was about time somebody did. The guy's a jerk with an ego that's so big, no skyscraper could even try to compete." I chuckled, this girl had such confidence.

"You got that right. So how were you able to shove him that hard? You had him crashing into the crowd behind you." The question came out of my mouth before I could think. I guess I wanted to know what her response would be, although I knew she wasn't going to straight-up confess to being a witch, especially in a school filled with security cameras.

Marabella shrugged, "I don't know, I guess I just had an adrenaline rush or something. I mean I really hated the dude so it's no surprise."

I tried to say something in return, but an announcement went over the intercom, interrupting us.

"Sorry for the interruption. Could Marabella Cooper please come to the front office? Marabella Cooper, thank you."

Well, this was not great timing.

"Well, I guess I got to go," Marabella said, standing up and collecting her stuff.

"Yeah, I'll see you later," I said, slipping a small note into her bag as she walked off towards the office.
