Sirius and Regulus sat in a tense silence for what felt like ages. Regulus kept sneaking glances at his older brother and every time he would look, he would find Sirius staring up at the night sky with a concentrated glare. Regulus sighed and looked down at Sirius's hand that was laying flat on the stone bench that they were sat on. He hesitated for a moment before inching his own hand over to Sirius's.

Sirius let out a low sigh when Regulus's hand came in contact with his own. "If you're going to be mad at him then you have to be mad at me too. Relationships go two ways." Regulus finally spoke up. "I can't be mad at you, Reggie. You have no idea what you're doing, up until a month ago you hadn't even had your first kiss." Sirius said, looking over at Regulus. "And he took that. What else does he want from you?" Sirius said bitterly, looking to the sky once more.

"I like him. He doesn't want anything from me, Siri. I like him and he likes me." Regulus sighed, turning to the sky as well. Sirius let out a deep sigh, his head dropping between his knees. "I just got you back, Reg. I just got you back and he's taking you away from me." Sirius muttered, his voice barely audible from his position. "He's not taking me from you." Regulus said quickly, and Sirius let out a disagreeing grunt. "He's not, I swear. If anything, he's bringing us closer together." Regulus' hand went down to Sirius' back to rub comforting circles. "Bringing us closer, my ass." Sirius scoffed, turning his head to look at Regulus.

"No one could take me away from you, okay? Ever." Regulus assured him. "Mum and dad couldn't. James can't." Regulus gave Sirius his best convincing smile. They were back to sitting in silence, but Sirius seemed way less tense than he had been a few moments ago. Regulus was glad for that.

"If he fucks this up, I'll have to beat the crap out of him. I hope you guys know that." Sirius mumbled. "If he fucks this up, I'll help you beat the crap out of him." Regulus replied, smirking to himself.

He knew that James wouldn't hurt him.

"Me and you, Hogsmeade this Saturday." James said as soon as Regulus walked out of his classroom. James pushed off of the wall opposite to Regulus's Charms class, falling in step with his boyfriend. "Did you leave class early just so that you could get here before the bell?" Regulus asked. "Maybe." James shrugged, wrapping his arm around Regulus's shoulder. The younger boy looked up at him with a frown. "Okay, yes I did but I'm already acing Transfiguration so it doesn't matter if I miss ten minutes of the lesson." James said, giving Regulus a sheepish smile. "Now, back to what I was saying. We're going to Hogsmeade this weekend for our official first date." James beamed, stepping in front of Regulus and walking backwards so that they can face each other.

"A date?" Regulus repeated incredulously. "Yes a date. It's going to be the bestest date you've ever been on." James said confidently, moving back to Regulus's side. "Okay one, bestest isn't a word and two, I've never actually been on a date before." Regulus muttered. "That's even better!" James exclaimed, stopping in the middle of the hall. Regulus let out a sound between a scoff and a laugh, shaking his head at James.

"I've got to get to Divination, I'll see you later yeah?" Regulus said, shuffling closer to James until they were toe to toe. "Yeah, I'll be there when you get out." James smiled. Regulus smiled back and leaned forward to press a chaste kiss on James's lips. "Boooo, you can do better than that." James pouted, earning a laugh from Regulus. "Fine." Regulus mumbled, going in for a longer kiss. "Now get to class, you hooligan." Regulus pushed James away from him playfully. "I miss you already." James called out, walking backwards. "Well I don't miss you." Regulus called back, trying to control the huge smile on his face. James blew him a kiss before disappearing into a hallway.

"I need your guys's help." Regulus exclaimed as he took his seat next to Evan and Barty. His best friends turned to him with questioning gazes, halting their conversation to hear what Regulus needed. "I have a date with Potter this weekend and I need an outfit." Regulus explained, pushing his hair out of his face. He really needed a haircut.

"You guys aren't actually dating so I'm sure he wouldn't care what you wear." Barty mumbled dryly, rolling his eyes at the mention of James Potter who was decidedly his nemesis. "You see... the thing about that is that we are actually dating now. Like properly dating." Regulus muttered, looking around the classroom to make sure that no one was listening in on them.

"No fucking way." Evan shouted, causing a few heads to snap their way. "Sorry, sorry." He said, lowering his voice and ducking his head to avoid prying eyes. "Yes fucking way." Regulus hissed, slapping Evan upside the head. "Now I need help, so meet me in our room right after classes." Regulus whispered. Evan nodded and mumbled an agreement. Regulus turned to Barty who still hadn't said a word since his confession.

"What's up with you?" Regulus asked, waving his hand in front of Barty's glazed eyes. The brunette boy shook his head as if to clear his mind and looked over at Regulus. "I just uh- you and Potter huh?" Barty sounded less than thrilled at Regulus's news. "Yes. It's pretty great actually. I really like him." Regulus whispered, his cheeks blazing red. He looked down to hide his smile and covered his face with his hands when Evan started laughing at him.

"Man, you've got it bad." Evan teased, poking at Regulus's side. "Shut up or I'll hex you." Regulus threatened but Evan couldn't take him seriously while he was still blushing so much that his whole face had gone pink.

"You've got it real bad."
