"Take this." Barty said, leaning over Regulus. He held out a vial of some sort of oddly coloured potion with one hand and held a glass of water in his other hand. "Oh, are you talking to me now?" Regulus muttered grimly, attempting to roll his eyes at Barty but stopped himself when he felt a pain shoot up in his brain.
"Just take the damn potion, Reg. It'll make you feel better." Barty replied. Regulus sighed and downed the vial, not bothering to ask Barty what it was. Almost instantly, his headache subsided and turned into a dull pain. "Thanks." Regulus mumbled, downing the glass of water next. He looked up at Barty who was chewing on his bottom lip, looking at Regulus nervously. "Merlin, you're such a lightweight." Evan teased, walking out of the bathroom. "Never met anyone that got drunk off of wine."
Regulus groaned and hid his face in his hands.
"And the way you kept crying about your boyfriend." Evan went on, laughing at the memories. "What do you mean?" Regulus asked, his head snapping up to look at Evan. "You we're all like 'he hates me!', 'James doesn't want me anymore, he'll break up with me!' Blah blah blah." Evan said, making his voice a few octaves higher to imitate Regulus.
Regulus threw his head back and clenched his eyes shut. "Please tell me that you're fucking with me and that I didn't actually say any of that nonsense." Regulus muttered. In his mind it wasn't nonesense and he hoped that his tone came out as impassive as he tried to make it out to be. "You basically spent half the night dwelling about Potter. Crouch and I had to carry you to bed afterwards, you could barely stand with how far gone you were." Evan replied, smirking at Regulus.
"Merlin, kill me now." Regulus mumbled.

"No." Regulus said before Sirius could even open his mouth to speak. The older Black brother gave him an offended glare and spoke anyway. "Well good morning to you too, sunshine." Sirius muttered, falling in step with Regulus. "Will you be joining us at breakfast?" Sirius asked. "No." Regulus mumbled, rubbing his temples. "What's up with you?" Sirius questioned, looking at him curiously.
"I'm fucking hungover." Regulus mumbled, groaning as the words left his mouth. "You? Hungover?" Sirius exclaimed, earning a slap from Regulus who hissed at him to shut the fuck up. Sirius lowered his voice and smiled at Regulus proudly. "I always knew that you had it in you." Sirius mused, wrapping an arm around Regulus' shoulder. "Barty gave me a potion but I think that it's wearing off." Regulus groaned again and stopped at the entrance of the great hall.
"I'll see you at lunch." He said before walking away to his own table. Sirius smiled and strolled over to the Gryffindor table and took his usual seat next to Remus. "Is Reg not eating with us?" James inquired, frowning. Sirius shook his head no. "Is he mad that I was being a jerk yesterday?"
"I'm not sure." Sirius replied, turning to glance at Regulus who had his head down on the Slytherin table. "He's hungover." Sirius explained, smirking. "Regulus can't be hungover." James said dismissively. "He doesn't drink."
"Well he did last night and now he's feeling the repercussions." Sirius said, stifling a laugh. "Crouch gave him a hangover potion but it didn't last long." Sirius added, watching as Evan force fed Regulus some toast. James frowned, an unsettling feeling growing in his stomach.
This was his fault, he thought.

"Reg!" James jogged up to meet his boyfriend who was walking out of his Transfiguration class. Regulus smiled softly then grimaced when he felt another pain in his head. "Drink this." James said, handing Regulus a small vial. Regulus looked down at it suspiciously and then turned to James. "I know that you're hungover. It'll take the pain away." James explained, bringing the vial up to Regulus's lips. The younger boy didn't argue and parted his lips so that James could pour the potion into his mouth.
"So you're not mad at me anymore?" Regulus asked after he had swallowed. James stepped in front of Regulus and put his hands on the boy's shoulders. "I wasn't mad at you, angel. I'm sorry if I made you think that I was." James said, leaning down to kiss Regulus's lips. Regulus sighed and nuzzled his head into James' neck. "I was worried." Regulus mumbled, pulling back to look into James's eyes. "Fuck I was so worried that you hated me and wanted to break up."
"I never want to break up with you." James replied, cupping Regulus's face. "Ever."
"James you can't do that to me again." Regulus pleaded. "I grew up being shut out by the people I loved. The silent treatment is basically a form of torture back home. When you wouldn't talk to me I thought that I was going to lose you." Regulus whispered. James frowned and pulled Regulus with him down the corridor. He opened the door to their special room and locked the door behind them, casting a silencing charm.
"Reg, you'll never lose me." James said, kissing all over Regulus's face. "I'm sorry." He whispered, trailing his lips all over the boy's soft skin. "I'm so sorry." James whispered, lowering his lips to Regulus's neck.
"James." Regulus brought James's head up, their lips meeting in a kiss. "I love you." James whispered against Regulus' mouth. "I love you, I love you, I love you." James whispered lifting Regulus so that he was sat on top of one of the desks. Regulus let out a shaky breath and looked down at James with a small smile.
"I love you too."
