Waiting for Kyle to react was like waiting till a horror movie started. All the lights are out; everybody's silent and equally excited; the screen is black...
Kyle grimly stared at Mike. He cracked a smile. Right, he's too unpredictable.
"Your attempts to annoy me will always be failed, brother," He said.
Mickey smirked. "You're freakin' awesome,"
Kyle snorted.
"Brother," Mike added.
Kyle shook his head and turned to me. "We've got three days and two nights,"
"Just like that?" I asked. "They're unreasonable. How do they even expect me to get there?"
"Hey, hold up," Kyle lifted his hands. "You?"
"Look," I glanced sideways at Mike and Kyle. "It was all my fault,"
"Damn!" Kyle started."Listen," I commanded. "You guys risked your lives already."
Kyle muttered something under his breath.
"But we're fine, now." Mickey said.
"Fine?" I asked. "Fine? Kyle is having extreme headaches and he'll be limping for a few days-"
"Nah, I'm good." Kyle said and beamed.
I ignored him. "Mickey, you were disgraced and-"
"It's fine!" Mike shouted. That was the first time he'd yelled like that. It took me by surprise.
Mike folded his arms around his chest. His brows were crossing. "I-I can handle it. I don't care,"
I shook my head instead, grabbing dad's watch in my pocket. "This is too much-"
"No! It isn't!" Kyle said.
"It is."
"What are you planning on? Venturing all by yourself to another planet with what for guidance? Imaginary water nymphs?"
"I DON'T TALK WITH WATER NYMPHS!" I screamed. The surrounding went silent. My shaky breath was all I could hear. Kyle looked shook.
I rubbed my temples. "Guys,"
"We're coming with you, Destiny." Mike spoke.
"But-but I can't...," I pressed my lips together. "I've already been bothersome-"
"No," Kyle said. "It wasn't your fault. We all can't have the luxury of blaming ourselves for this."
"What if something happens to you?"
"What if something happens to you?" I hated how Kyle comes up with great arguments. His eyes seem to have an extra effect on it.
"Alright," I agreed.
Mushy cawed.
"But we rest for a while," I said.
"But I'm fine!" Kyle complained.
"No you're not, Mr. And you will listen to me,"
"Bummer, do I get hot water baths in exchange?"
"No,"
"Your mobile data?"
"No,"
"At least your battery power?"
"No,"
"Maybe some screen time on your device, 'cause mine's dead?"
"No, Kyle."
