The duel took a total 180. Early in the Duel Jaden and Haru had an advantage, but Bastion easily disassembled their cards forcing them both on defense. Haru's side had one face down and Fire Sorcerer in DEF mode.
Jaden has Sparkman in ATK mode. And Avian in DEF mode.
While Bastion has his ace Water Dragon in ATK mode.
Bastion: Face it Jaden, with your Fusions neutralized and my Water Dragon about to strike. You and your monsters are about to be all washed up. Bastion said.
Syrus: I can't watch.
Chumey: It's not all bad. Jaden still has more LP..
Alexis: 'Came on.' Fight back Alexis said.
Zane: Well perhaps we've underestimated Bastion. He's playing this like a pro. After all with just one card he's all but disarmed Jaden's deck. Zane said.
Alexis: Come on. He's just taken away Jaden's ability to use Fusion monsters. That's all. Alexis said.
Zane: But that might be enough, after all Fusion monsters are how Jaden wins all his duels.
Crowler: That's it Bastion show these Slifer Slacking Sludge who's boss. Show them they don't belong in the School Duel. Crowler cheered.
Banner: My, Pharaoh. This does not look good.
Jaden: My go. And I'm gonna switch Sparkman to DEF mode and I'll leave it at that. Jaden said as Sparkman took a knee next to Avian.
Syrus: At what?
Bastion: Not much to do when you've been stripped of the ability to use your favorite monsters, eh Jaden? Bastion asks.
Jaden: Wrong. There's loads to do like finding a new plan. It'll be tough but I'm up for it. And then Bastion it'll all the sweeter. Jaden said. When I win.
Bastion: Yes when you win. Well I suppose we have nothing but our dreams I suppose. However far fetched.
Haru: Speaking of far fetched. I'm still in this duel. Haru draws and sees the card that can help him. 'This cards is just what I need. But I don't have the one I need to use it. So for now stick to defense. And I know just the monsters to help.' I play the Spell Card of Sanctity which lets us all draw until we have six cards. Haru explains as the three of them draw.
