Chapter 94: Snake in the Grass Part 1

Jim: Syrus, are you sure this is the way back to jaden?

Syrus: Mmm, I thought I was following you.

Hassleberry: [screams]

Shirley: [Snarl]

Hassleberry: My dino dna is picking up those vibes again!

Jim: Those vibes are off the chart.

Alexis: It's Viper! He must be at it again!

Syrus: Jaden! Meanwhile, Axel was still trying to escape.

Axel: I gotta figure out a way to escape.

Viper: Still here? Viper watched him through the camera. But it was quickly destroyed. Temper, temper. Axel Brodie, you're going to pay for that.

Axel: Bet you didn't see that coming! Huh? Axel noticed something in the ground. 'Could that be a way out?' Let's see what's hiding under here. Axel starts picking at the ground and pulls out a brick. Well, it's a start! Axel continued digging through the ground and collecting brick by brick. What's this? Underneath all the bricks, he finds a kind of metal hatch. I think it's time I did a little sole-searching! He kicks down the metal, revealing the forest. Whoa! So, is this the penthouse? Axel jumps back to the wall as the ground began to collapse. What is this place?! 'Time for me to drop in on Viper!'

Axel ties two of his wires together and attaches one of the devices to the wall as he fell. As he was falling, he stoppedx showing that his hand was literally tied up in wire.

Axel: Oh, come on! Cut me some slack! Unfortunately, Axel got just that as his device fell out of the wall and fell to the ground. Aagh! He shouted.

Alexis: Over here! Someone must have lost their cards. The others arrive to where Jaden and Stein had their duel and found his cards scattered about.

Hassleberry: Could they belong to jaden? I sure hope he's ok!

Syrus: Jaden, I brought you some water! Syrus rushes over but saw he wasn't there. But I left him right here!

Alexis: Maybe something took him down there! They venture further in.

Jaden: Boy, that duel really took it out of you, huh, Jesse?

Jesse: Little bit. But we gotta get some giddy up in our step. Don't worry. Rest is for the weary, guys. You hear me?

Jaden: Ok, Jesse...but, you see, right now you are the weary. They'll find us. Sy's with 'em! And Jim, of course.

Jesse: Well, that's a relief! So, what you reckon, Jay? They got the gumption to look in here? I mean I know they'd follow you down here, 'cause they'd follow your lead anywhere.

Jaden: 'Weird...Professor Stein said the same thing in our duel, just not as nice. Well, my friends better not be asleep at the wheel now!

Syrus: Jaden!

Alexis: You're ok!

Syrus: Take this, Jay...I carried it for hours--With no spills! He said offering Jaden the water.

Jaden: Ha ha ha! Thanks, Sy! I dig the leaf...But I'm just not thirsty! He said causing Syrus to tear up.

Haru: You might be thirsty, but fighting for your life can make a guy parched. Haru said guzzling the water down.

Alexis: So, what happened?!

Jesse: Hmph! Viper had duelists waiting for us...Took a pretty big toll on us, too!

Haru: It was Professor Stein and this guy named Trapper.

Alexis: Professor Stein was here? Where is he now? Haru said nothing. He only hung his head lowly. Alexis seemed shocked to think that something happened to him.
