It was hard to tell how much time had passed between then but visits from her Papa became less frequent. Five albeit didn't quite understand what she and Eleven had done that day, still felt plagued by the guilt. That monster hurt her - but not really. From time to time her side still ached but she put that down to her obsession with what happened. Five well and truly felt like a monster. Never in her short life had the use of her power ever brought such a burden onto her. Petty jobs in the past stuck with her but this, this was different. This was an evil she never thought she'd face.

Abruptly, the grand metal door of her room was thrown open. Five gasped as Eleven came into her view. "Found you," She smiled at Five, "Come." Without another word, Eleven walked away from the door and without any thought, Five followed her.

"Where?" She called to her.

"Just away... from here," She smiled to her, "For now." Five nodded and grabbed ahold of her friend's arm pulling her away from the sound of echoing footsteps. The two ran through the maze of the building until their bodies could no longer handle it.

"We need to go," Five heaved as stampedes of guards sounded through the halls, "Now."

Out of nowhere, an alarm rang through the building, causing them to clasp their hands over their ears and a voice came through the speakers, "Eleven, Five return to your rooms." Worriedly, they looked to each other - it was Papa. "Come back or we'll come and find you ourselves."

Five scowled - she won't go back there and there was no way she'd let them take Eleven back there. "No," She whispered at first before screaming the same words. Every light in the building exploded and the sea of hallways disappeared.

"I won't ask again, Five," static echoed through the grim building.

"I said no!" Now her voice came through the speakers before the radio combusted as well. Stumbling slightly back, Eleven caught her forearms and dragged her out of the building.

The outside world seemed so strange to her. The mixture of rain and the wind hitting her cheeks was enough to make her smile all the while cowering away from it. Eleven too seemed taken aback by the discovery of nature but pushed through it and ran through the colossal field. Five trailed behind her but her legs dragged ever so slightly, while her bare feet adjusted to the squelching ground.

"Eleven," Five mumbled, "Eleven!" She repeated after getting no response. The pale girl turned to her, "I-I need rest." Nodding, she scanned the surroundings as best as she could and pulled Five towards some sort of tunnel once she found it.

"Crawl, then rest. Okay?" This time Five nodded and was the first to head into the pipe. It took Five and Eleven ages to find the end, which took Five by surprise, causing her to tumble into an array of fallen leaves.

"Thank you," she finally said as they wandered hopelessly through the forest. Eleven looked up from the ground and furrowed her eyebrows.

"You save me," Five smiled, "You found me."

She just shrugged, "Couldn't leave you." Eleven stayed silent for a while before softly saying, "Family now."

Five's smile widened, "Family now."
