After Five had calmed down, Mike brought her up into his sister's, Nancy's, room, to - in Lucas' words - 'make her more normal'.

"What happened earlier?" Mike broke the silence as he searched for some makeup.

"Nothing," She croaked, still recovering from her breakdown.

"Fi?" He raised his eyebrows, "What happened to friends don't lie?"

Five sighed and sat down on Nancy's bed, "Hard to..."

"Explain?" He finished for her, "I get that but we're friends, and no matter what I'll listen."

Five smiled at him, "Thank you, Mike."

The boy returned the smile as he sat next to her with a box full of makeup. "So do you, uh, want to talk about it?"

"I found someone but they found me too," She explained.

"Oh," Mike said under his breath, "Who?"

"Don't know yet," She frowned.

"You're confusing sometimes, you know?" Mike chuckled, "Anyway, you ready?" Five nodded, causing Mike to pick a brush up and press it against her cheek. She moved away from the bristles and gave it an odd look, earning a laugh from Mike before he tried again.

It wasn't long till Mike had done his best - which couldn't really be described as any good - and Eleven (who Dustin helped to apply her makeup) and the boys entered with an outfit. El was already in one - a flowy pink dress and a blonde wig.

"You look pretty," Five said to her as the boys left, "Really pretty."

El couldn't help but beam at her, "You do too." Five stood up from the bed and looked over the clothes she was given. It was a skirt and sweater - both yellow, which Five then and there decided was her favourite colour - and a pair of white sneakers.

Quickly, with the help of El to tie her laces, Five got changed into it. Eleven left the room first, she followed soon afterwards.

"Wow," Dustin said as she exited, "She looks-"

"Pretty," Mike finished for him before clearing his throat and clarifying, "Good. You look pretty good."

Five blushed and walked towards the mirror. It had been a while since Five actually looked at herself. Her hair was quite a bit longer than she last remembered and it felt weird to see herself with a genuine smile - she'd never felt this good in her life.

"Here let me help," Mike came up behind her and pulled her blonde hair into a hair tie.

"Thank you," Five said as she tightened the hair tie.

Five's eyes were mesmerised as she was pulled through the school. Throughout the halls, colour was splattered everywhere and every now and then a poster for some sort of club - all of which Five really wanted to be a part of - plastered the walls.
