Klaus heads straight to the library once their dinner is finished.

"What are you doing?" Y/N asks

"I want to know what is in this safe."

"But getting into it won't be easy. That's why people have safes," Violet reminds them.

"She's right, it will take us too long to figure out the combination. It requires three characters. That means there are thousands of possible combinations," Y/N looks at Klaus.

"One million. Aunt Josephine said she would make secret codes. And the safe combination is probably something she cares about, something that won't be easily forgotten," Klaus explains.

"What does she care about? Grammar?" Violet suggests.

"No, thats too many letters," Klaus shakes his head

"Ike!" Y/N says.

"Yes! You're a genius Y/N," Klaus smiles at her, causing Y/N's face to flush red.

Klaus bends down to the safe and gets to work on the combination.

"I is the ninth letter in the alphabet. Eleven for 'K'. And 'E', the fifth," Klaus says as he turns the knob.

Just like that, the safe pops open.

"What is that?" Y/N asks, leaning over Klaus's shoulder to get a better look.

Klaus blushes at their close contact, "Pictures of Aunt Josephine. Skydiving? Boxing? Fighting an alligator...and winning? And cooking with fire."

"She really used to be fearless," Violet says in amazement. "What happened to her?"

Y/N reaches around Klaus and pulls out a book from inside the safe, "The Incomplete History of Secret Organizations," she reads the title out loud.

"All of the answers are here. Even if our guardian won't tell us anything, we can still find what we are looking for," Violet smiles.

"Oh children! I'm back!" Josephine calls from downstairs.

The orphans scramble to quickly shove everything back into the safe, and pull the secret bookcase back in front of it, just as they had found it. Violet, Klaus, and Y/N grab a book off of the shelf and sit down, opening to a random page. Just as Y/N sits next to Klaus, and Violet next to Sunny, Josephine opens the door.

"Oh there you are!" Josephine smiles and sets her grocery bag down. "I have a surprise for you!"

"Limes," Klaus motions to the bag full of limes.

"Okay, well two surprises then. The first being a great deal on limes at the town market and petting zoo." She sets a chair in front of the children and sits down. "The second surprise is that I am ready to be fierce and formidable again! I met a man. Would you children mind being left alone for another couple of hours? He wants to take me out for a fried egg sandwich," Josephine says excitedly.

"You're going on a date?" Violet asks in disbelief.

"Oh, don't be silly, Violet. It is not a date. Just two adults having a discussion over rye bread and runny yolks," Josephine stands up. "Make small talk with him while I grab my sweater. Oh, Captain!" she yells out the door.

"I'm hobbling as fast as I can, Josephine," the man says.

Y/N looks at Klaus with fear in her eyes. The children rise from their seats.

"Well, good evening, children," the man, who is clearly Olaf with an eye patch and a wooden leg, says. "My name is Captain Sham, and my home is the sea."
