"If we give money to poor people, then they won't be poor anymore and we won't have anyone to feel sorry for," Y/N micks quietly the crazy words that came out of Esme's mouth moments ago.

Klaus fights back a snicker as the four children follow Jerome to get fitted into pinstripe suits as per requested by his wife.

"How many rooms are there?" Violet asks, turning things back to a more serious tone.

"71! I think. Even I don't know what is in each room," Jerome shrugged, handing the children their suits. "I will let you four change," he says, shutting the door.

"I can't believe Count Olaf found us so quickly," Violet sighs. "But that must mean the Quagmires are close."

"They could even be here! 71 rooms and even Jerome doesn't know what is in each? Seems suspicious," Y/N mentions, going behind a curtain to change.

"Esme invited Gunther here, do you think they could be working together?" Klaus asks.

"Esme is already rich, she doesn't need our fortune," Y/N rolls her eyes, thinking back to the remark from earlier.

"True, but she seems to really like Count Olaf. He could marry her and become our guardian," Violet grimaces at her thought.

Y/N's eyes widen at that realization, knowing how easy that could become a reality. She looks to Klaus in a visible panic. The boy hesitates before reaching his hand out and grabbing the girl's, giving it a gentle squeeze.

"But she is already married to Jerome," Klaus states, reassuringly.

Y/N shakes her head, "We all know Count Olaf doesn't have a problem with getting rid of things or people in his way."

"Where is the other one?" Olaf sneers upon the sight of Klaus and Y/N, dressed in their suits.

"My sister is exploring. She said she would like to see every inch of this penthouse," Klaus smirks slightly, maintaining eye contact with Olaf.

Y/N, however, is a little more subtle. "I would like to see every room as well. I mean, surely it shouldn't take too long. This penthouse has, what, two or three rooms?" she asks, cocking her eyebrow at Esme, then glancing at Olaf with a knowing smirk.

"Two or three rooms?" Esme says in disbelief. "Oh, step this way you poor orphan children. You are about to be so dazzled, your eyes will turn black!"

With that Esme sets off in front with Jerome following in giddy excitement. Klaus and Y/N are left in the back with Olaf, who snatches Klaus's arm immediately.

"I know what your sister is up to," he snarls.

"And we know what you're up to, and we won't let you get away with it," Y/N shoves Olaf's hand off of Klaus.

"I could get away with murder," Olaf steps towards the girl, glaring down at her, "again".

With that all too familiar threat, everyone sets off into the many, many rooms of the penthouse.

"I am so hungry I could chew your arm off," Esme says, flopping down onto a couch after the extensive tour. "Oh! The newest, most "in" restaurant in town is just a block away, we shall dine there!"

With those words spoken, more so demanded, a brief limousine ride finishes in front of Café Salmonella.

"Hello, welcome to Café Salmonella. My name is Larry and I will be your waiter," he says, placing the menus down.
