" hey there sunshine!" It said , just mere inches from your face . Your chest rose and fell with each desperate breath you took , your heart hammered in your ears . The robots smile faltered, it's eyes glanced between the door you're frantically pushed against -and your face .
If it weren't for your aching legs - you'd have already booked it for the next exit , but then again-
" hey ... what's goin' on here ...?" Sunnydrop seemed to fail to put together words as it sensed the underlining danger behind the door . After seconds of heaved breaths , sun drop backed away a few steps , you threw your head back in relief . You closed your eyes - squeezing them until it hurt . Tears formed at the corners of your eyelids , cooling off your heated face from the running you did .
You've never felt so disconnected- this all felt so surreal to you , just yesterday you were some average joe . What happened to get you here ?
"Just one night" they insisted, pushing on even after your answer . No . No, you don't need these long gone friends to push you into a situation like that . Eventually someone stepped up and made a bet - a bet on whether you would make it out alive or not . A joke , of course . But it all feels real now . You found yourself at the front doors of the place , looking in though the glass windows . You scoffed before walking in , clenching your fists as you realized how stupid this was . Why was your heart hammering ? Why were your palms sweaty ? You knew then that this wasn't a good idea , your nerves proved that . In time you were stuffed in a janitor closet near the daycare center . Waiting for night to fall so you could explore.
A bang pulled you out from the depths of your thoughts , another sounded shortly thereafter. Your eyes were fixed on the daycare attendant , your finger placed firmly on your lips as the banging kept on . Within moments it faded , back into the halls . You sighed then , a comfort found in the silence of the room . Almost .
" who are you ? And ... what's happening? You- you shouldn't be here , sunshine." Sundrop spoke , worry embedded deep within its words . It's smile stayed , albeit small , it was still present on the attendants face . You noticed this and pressed your lips into a thin line , your brows furrowed as your eyes wandered .
" I- ... I'm not sure what to say , but - I know I can't stay here any longer . It looks like I'm not very welcome . Whatever thing is out there - doesn't look like they want me coming out of here in one piece ." You swallowed as your throat became bare . The bot shuffled around you , examining you . Your eyes watched it closely, darting to and fro .
" I'm not sure I understand. Do- do you need help ? Are you in danger ?" It bounced forward. You flinched but quickly cooled as you knew it wasn't any threat to you .
" yes , as much as I'd like to be outta here - something about a girl with a knife doesn't exactly scream ' party time , stay awhile', nor ' leave and find out '."The daycare bot gaped at that .
" a knife ?!!?" Its head spun unnaturally as its hands flapped in the air . You grimaced at that . " no- no no no - you need to leave ! It is not safe for you if that's here ! Let's—" it stopped , it's eyes flashed something, but it was quickly gone long before you could ever decide what it was . " oh ... oh no ." It's shoulders slumped . You slid off the door cautiously.
" oh no - what ? What is it ? I need to get out of here - please tell me it's not that ..." you feared the worse , if you couldn't get out , you were sure it was over for you . You began to breath heavily again as the moments that passed only worried you further .
