Chapter 3

It was the day of the wedding and I wanted to pull my hair out. There was so much that needed to be done. Where's a shot of vodka when you need one? I quickly walked into the church where the wedding would be held and made sure everything was in place. All the guest sat patiently and Marc stood at the end of the isle waiting for his beautiful bride. I used my head set to let Bella know it was five minutes before it was time for Veronique to be at the doors of the church.

After the ceremony the friends and family stayed for pictures while the rest of the guest headed to the reception where the cocktail hour would be held. I along with Bella headed over to the reception area to make sure everything looked perfect.

"Why did we pick such a stressful career path?" I asked Bella as we inspected the tables at the reception hall.

"Because we love what we do," Bella said shrugging and then leaving to help the DJ get set up and to make sure he had the correct music list.

We let everyone into the reception hall at 5:30 for the beginning of dinner. Finally Bella and I would get a break. I walked out onto the balcony getting a breath of fresh air. The wedding has gone off without a hitch. I took a sip out of the water bottle I held in my hands.

I heard the door open and turned to meet the prettiest pair of brown eyes I had ever seen.

"Oh uh my bad... I can head back in if you want," Sidney spoke quietly.

"Oh no it's fine. Im just sitting out here," I chuckled shrugging.

"Technically you're standing," Sid teased stuffing his hands in his pockets.

I just giggled rolling my eyes before turning back around. I can't believe I was talking to Sidney Crosby. Everyone says he's gorgeous from the pictures they've seen of him, but he looks even better in person!

"I'm Sidney by the way," he said standing next to me offering me his hand.

"Jenn, nice to meet you," I said smiling a small smile.

"How do you know Marc and Veronique?" Sid asked me glancing out at the scenery before looking back at me.

"I'm actually just the wedding planner," I chuckled.

"Ahh gotcha. Well you've done a fantastic job," Sid complimented sending me his knee weakening smile.

"Thanks, I can't take all the credit though my friend and business partner Bella helped a lot," I said smiling again.

"That's cool.... this may seem forward, but do you mind if I get your nu-" Sid said, but was interrupted as Bella came through the door.

"Jenn I need you for a minute," Bella said quickly before grabbing my arm and pulling me away from Sid.

After Bella and I dealt with the cake situation everything was back to smooth sailing. The problem was that one of the children at the wedding dropped cake on the floor and since we have to make sure the wedding goes perfectly we quickly cleaned up the mess and got the child a new piece of cake. I went to the restroom before walking out to see Sidney talking to some other girl. I just shook my head and walked over to Bella getting the stuff ready to send off the bride and groom. I tried not to let the fact I saw Sidney flirting with someone bother me, but it did because I thought he was different. We all know he was going to ask me for my number, but maybe Bella coming in saved me from getting my heart broken.

After sending the bride and groom off Bella and my job was done and we were aloud to leave. I grabbed my coat slipping it on before walking to my car as Bella had already left.

"Hey, Jenn wait up," someone said behind me. I recognized his voice and had to refrain from rolling my eyes.

"Yes?" I asked crossing my arms over my chest looking at Sidney.

"Can I get your number?" Sid asked finishing his question from earlier.

I thought about my decision for a minute and then sighed taking Sids phone quickly putting my number in before turning around and walking off to my car.

"Hey what's wrong?" Sid asked grabbing my arm.

"Nothing, I'm fine," I said quickly before taking his hand off my arm and getting in my car before leaving Sid standing in the parking lot looking confused.

It was about 11:30 when I got home. I had just taken one of those Tostino pizzas out of the oven when my phone dinged with a text from an unknown number.

From ?: hey it's sid.

To Sid: oh hey

From Sid: Are you mad at me or something?

To Sid: nope. I don't have a reason to be mad at you. I don't even know you. I'm just tired.

From Sid: oh I'll let you go then.

To Sid: alright. bye.

I ate the small pizza and sat on the couch thinking about the wedding today. The Fleurys both looked amazing and the day went off without a hitch. I knew Bella would freak out when I told her I got Sids number. I had gotten over the fact that I saw Sid talking to some other girl because I really didn't know him so I couldn't judge him for that. I felt super guilty about how I treated Sid. I decided I wanted to get to know him and I was planning on doing exactly that. I laid in bed and laid down scrolling through my Instagram to see I had a few follow requests.

After posting the picture I locked my phone and plugged it into the charger before heading to bed.
