Chapter 6

I was late to work! I'm never late, but today I was! I had stayed up late last night texting Sid and so as a result I'm now rushing to get ready for work.

"You're late," Bella said with a flat voice when I walked in.

"I know I'm sorry," I quickly apologized rushing past her and into my office.

The tension in the air was thick between Bella and I. I wasn't going to keep apologizing for being late if she didn't accept my apology then so be it.

"Why were you late?" Bella asked crossing her arms.

"My alarm didn't go off," I stated which wasn't completely a lie. It didn't go off because I didn't set it after I finished texting Sid las night.

"If it had anything to do with Crosby th-" She started, but I quickly cut her off.

"Who cares if it had anything to do with Sid or not. It's none of your business Bella. I don't understand why you can't just be supportive of me being friends with Sid or even me having a crush," I said glaring at Bella.

"Are you that blind?! Why can't you see he's just going to hurt you! I'm trying to protect you!" Bella said glaring at me as well.

"You know what I'm done. Cancel the rest of my appointments for today," I said getting up and rushing out of my office. I was so mad at Bella she wasn't being my best friend right now. She was being a strait up Bitch.

The penguins had a game tonight and Sid had invited me to come watch. He gave me two tickets so that Bella could come to, but after her being so rude today I wasn't inviting her. I got dressed in a pair of light wash jeans and my home Crosby jersey. I grabbed a pair of black converse slipping them on my feet before grabbing my phone and ticket and heading out to my car to head to the rink.

I walked in and a smile came across my face. Everyone was smiling and laughing just excited to be in the Consol Energy Center. I smiled at strangers as I walked to my seat. I sat down and smiled at my view of the ice. I was about three rows up so I had a perfect view of the ice.

I watched as the boys came out on the ice and my heart melted as I watched none other than number 87 skate flawlessly around the ice. He stopped in front of the section where I sat and scanned the crowd before smiling at me and then going back to warming up.

The puck dropped and the crowd began to roar with life as Sid won the first face off of the night.

"Lets go pens!" I yelled with the crowd as the final seconds of the third period ticked down. The penguins were currently winning 3-0 against the Detroit Red Wings.

I clapped and cheered along with all the fans as the boys thanked their fans. I took the last sip of my beer before getting up and going to meet Sid in the family waiting area like he instructed me.

After about an hour Sid walked out in his street clothes.

"Hey Jenn," Sid said smiling and walking over to me causing some of the players to turn their attention to me.

"Hey Sid," I said quietly as everyone's questioning eyes looked at me.

"Sid are you dating my wedding planner?" Flower asked laughing slightly causing my cheeks to turn red.

"No we are just friends," Sid said shooing Marc-Andre Fleury away.

"Where's your friend?" Sid asked now turning his attention to me again.

"Oh uh...We got in a little bit of a fight," I said awkwardly.

"Oh about what?" Sid asked stuffing his hands in his pockets.

"Nothing," I said quickly. I definitely wasn't going to say it was about him!

"Oh okay?" Sid said suspiciously.

"Yeah," I said looking down at my feet.

"Well do you want to come hangout?" Sid asked shuffling his feet before looking at me.

"Yeah sure. Where are we going?" I questioned beaming on the inside trying to stay calm.

"Umm.... My house?" questioned Sid.

"Sure. I'll follow you," I told him nodding my head and going to my car.

I fangirled in my car as I followed Sid. I can't believe Sid invited me to his house! I sang quietly to whatever came on the radio as I drove behind Sid.

A/N- hey guys, so I'm splitting this into two chapters so Sids house will be the next chapter and there's a lot that will happen! Lots of opening up and such so get mentally prepared! Ill be posting hopefully tomorrow 😊 I hope y'all like this chapter none the less though! let me know!!
