Chapter 14

I had just gotten my hair and makeup done and I was definitely excited for the night to kick off. I was sitting in a plaid button up and leggings waiting until I needed to put on my dress. My stomach growled and even though I knew there was going to be food at the event I wanted to get a little snack to hold me over. I had just poured a bowl of Cheerios when I heard a knock at the door. 

"coming.." I mumbled. It couldn't be Sidney he told me he would be here at 7:00, it's only 6:00.

I opened the door to see Catherine standing there with her dress in hand and coffee in the other.

"Hey, Come on in!" I said happy to see her. Since Catherine and I met at the Consol a few days ago we had been texting a lot and have actually become pretty close! 

"Thanks! I love your hair and makeup!" Katherine said placing her dress on the back of a chair in my living room.

"Thanks, so what are you doing here? I didn't know you were gonna stop by," I said giggling and going into the kitchen to grab my bowl of cheerios.

"Apparently Kris and Sidney planned some kind of surprise for us so Kris told me I had to come finish getting ready at your place and him and Sidney would be over here to get us." Catherine explained. I wonder why Sid hadn't mentioned anything to me about it...Oh well.

"So do you know if Beaus devil of a girlfriend is suppose to be there tonight?" I asking shoveling another spoonful of cheerios into my mouth.

"Sadly I think she will be," Catherine said sighing.

I groaned in response causing Catherine to chuckle. I had nothing against Beau and honestly I would have nothing against the she-devil if she wasn't so rude to me for no reason. It's not like she has a reason to feel threatened by me or anything. I like Sid not Beau.

"Oh well, I'm just going to have a good night. Nothing will ruin this night." I stated confidently.

At about 6:45 Catherine and I went to put on our dresses. I slipped on my purple dress and a pair of silver heels. Catherine slipped on a deep red colored dress that had sleeves the hung off her shoulders and had a v-back. The mermaid style dress made Catherine look amazing. I'm positive Kris's eyes would pop out of his head the second he sees her.

"Girl, that dress look amazing on you!" I said in awe as she applied a fresh coat of red matte lipstick.

"Thanks! Your's looks amazing on you too Jenn! Sidney will be drooling over you all night!" She said smiling at me. We then took a couple selfies and even posted a few selfies and silly videos on our Snapchats. 

At promptly 7:00 we heard a knock on the door. Catherine told me to wait in my room because since Sid hadn't seen my dress she wanted to video his reaction for my Snapchat. I heard the boys come in and Kris compliment Catherine. 

"Wheres Jenn? Sid asked in his deep voice.

"Jenn! Come in here Sid is ready to see you!" Catherine said causing me to giggle. I looked in the mirror one more time before taking a deep breath. I could feel butterflies swarming in my stomach as I walked into the living room where Sid, Catherine, and Kris stood patiently waiting.

As soon as Sid saw me his jaw dropped, but he quickly replaced it with one of his deviously handsome smiles. I smiled when I saw him smile because I think we can all agree Sid has a wonderfully beautiful smile.

"Wow.... Y-you look amazing!" Sid said coming up to me giving me a hug. 

We all took pictures/selfies together and then decided it was time to head out to the prom. According to the boys we would get our surprise after the prom ended and our only hint was that it had to do with a sleepover.

I was excited for a night of fun, dancing, and of course hanging out with Sid!
