The sound of my alarm signaling for me to wake up as usual, almost gave me an instant headache.
"For the love of god-"
I groaned as I almost smashed the snooze button. It was 5:00am. I slouched out of bed, rubbing my eyes, trying to keep myself awake...
Why am I up this early, you may ask, well I've been training for the U.A entrance exam for the last 9 years, and today it's exactly one week before the exam, which means extra hard training for me.
The closer the day of the exam comes, the more nervous I get. If I didn't get in I'd probably end up working in retail, and going from wanting to become a hero to working in retail is a huge step back, which I'm not to fond on taking.
I headed downstairs, my dad is usually still asleep at this time.
I headed out the door, and off I was, doing a casual run around the neighborhood.
'There's no way I can fail this. I worked really hard, but what if that isn't enough? I still have a lot of techniques I could work on.... What if that wasn't good enough? Imagine all the competition... There's probably so many students that are stronger than me.-'
My thoughts wandered as my anxiety rose. That was until I bumped into someone.
I stumbled back from the sudden impact.
"I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going..."
I said as I bowed my head a little, as I looked back up I was met with a pair of green eyes.

"No it's my fault too, I also wasn't paying attention... My name's Izuku Midoriya by the way."
He flashed me a nervous smile.
"Oh- uh, Mindi Akasuki."
I mustered a small smile in return.
"So why are you out so early?"
He asked.
"I could ask you the same thing."
I giggled.
"Oh ah- I was just going for a run."
He replied.
"Me too."
"Really? We should run together then! Where were you heading?"
"Down to the beach."
I said, giving a small closed-eye smile.
"What?! We go the same route! How have we not bumped into eachother before?"
He laughed, causing me to let out a chuckle as well.
"Guess we just kept missing eachother."

That was the day I made my very first friend ever since Janike... Izuku Midoriya.

We continued our jog around the neighborhood and talked mostly about All Might and some new Pro Heroes that arrived in Japan. We eventually stopped at a cafe nearby to grab a coffee. We sat down at a table and talked more.
"I still remember when All Might was in his silver age, that was so long ago if you think about it... I wonder if I'll ever compare to someone like him..."
He gave me a curious look.
"You want to be a Hero? "
He asked. I nodded my head. His eyes sparked at my response.
"So do I! If you don't mind me asking, what's your quirk?"
"My quirk is called 'Remedial Manipulation'."
"How does it work?"
I explained my quirk to him. He looked amazed by my explanation. Was he some sort of crazy fanboy? My question was answered when he pulled out a notebook and started scribbling down, what I assumed to be my quirk description.
"You're quirk is soo cool! I heard it's very rare to have an offensive AND defensive quirk. If you train long enough maybe you'll be able to create weapons too!"
I giggled at him.
" Midoriya you're rambling... "
He quickly snapped out of his state and his face got really red.

"Really? I'm sorry I didn't notice-"
"It's okay."
I chuckled.

The following week me and Midoriya would run together, we became really good friends. That week flew by REALLY fast.

My alarm. Again. This time it wasn't for my daily run. It was the day of the entrance exam. Was I nervous? No-... Well maybe a little... I mean who wouldn't be nervous? If I fail today I might as well quit on my dreams. I have only one option here.
'I just won't fail.'

I got ready as quick as possible and rushed out the door.
"Bye dad!"
I yelled.
"Bye princess! Good luck! I know you can do it! Just do your best!"
My dad was so supportive of my dream, even though he's scared that I'd get injured and end up like my mom...
I ran down the streets as fast as I could, heading straight to the exam location. The written part will be hard, but I'm not too worried about that since I studied ALOT.
I walked up to the building with stars in my eyes.
