this will be the last letter i ever write.
i'm going to do something, something i will regret. i'm going to try to destroy one of the dark lord's horcruxes.
this will result in him either killing me, or the challenge killing me, but either way, i'm going to die.
please, don't let sirius be too sad, as i know he will be. don't let him feel responsible, and promise to take care of him. he has nobody but you and your friends. nobody else to care about him.
please let him know i love him, and remember that i love you. i'll be watching you all, and smiling.
i hope your life with evans is long and happy, with children and grandchildren, and i wish the same for my brother.
