I smile as Alex's noises fill the room, fists tight around the metal bars of the headboard, head back, buried deep in the pillows, "holy fuck, Evie!" Alex tensed underneath me, a loud moan as sweet as honey, echoing around the room.

"Mmm, you taste like popcorn." I smile, laying down on the bed.

"Let me see." our lips touch gently, moving slowly together, tongues teasing each other's. Then Alex sucks on my tongue, smiling before pulling back, "it is kind of sweet, isn't it?"

"Kind of." I giggle.

I turn on to my back, yawning, and reach over to my watch on the bedside table, checking the time. It was getting late, and I still wanted to go for a run. I turned onto my side, this time facing away from Alex, when I feel a hand on my waist, "you okay?"

"Yeah," I move back slightly, to cuddle more, "just don't want to get up for my run," I smile, then there's a knock on the door, "I got it!"

I get up and stretch, "Evie?" I turn to look at Alex, "you may want to put some clothes on." I look down at myself, and laugh. I find my underwear on the floor, pulling them on, and up. I grab Alex's AC/DC T-shirt, slipping it over my head, and skipping to the door, opening it.

"How long does it take to open a damn door?" Michael huffed, stomping into Alex's loft apartment.

"Shit, Mikey you could at least cover your eyes." Alex huffed.

"It's nothing I haven't seen before." Mikey winked, and I smacked the back of his head, mumbling a quiet, 'you wish, Clifford', before crawling back to Alex on the bed.

"So what brings you to this neck of the woods?" I ask him whilst checking my phone.

He shrugs, "Ash started talking about going for a run, and I got bored, so I came here," he grins, "what do you say, Alex, up for a game?" He motions towards the Xbox.

I tensed up slightly at the sound of Ashton's name. We used to go running together, way back when, we used the same route, but I was not going to miss my run because of him, so I'll just go another way. I get up, grabbing a pair of Alex's sweatpants, and a Beatles T-shirt. I grab my bra, and go to the bathroom to change.

When I come out Alex, and Mikey are already in front of the large 52" TV. They were talking into their headsets, which I like to call their 'Britney mics', and trying to form some sort of strategy to kill the other guys. I grab my phone, and slip it into the armband I had put on, plugging in my headphones.

"I'm leaving." I say, Alex quickly pauses the game to look at me, with a pout. I smile, kissing it away, "I'll be back in a couple of hours, okay?"

"Be safe, please."

I chuckle slightly, nodding, "always, baby. Oh, and Michael?"

"Yeah?" He looks at me.

"Hands off my girlfriend, yeah?" I grin, before leaving the apartment.

I had been running for almost 45 minutes, the sun had set completely, revealing a sea of stars in the night sky, it was so peaceful. So many people are scared of the dark, or of being out late, but honestly, nothing felt better to me. It was tranquil, quiet, and made me feel safe, even if to others, it didn't.

I ran past the park, glancing to it through the gate, the few lights it had glowling on the benches that aligned the path. I remembered what Mikey had said, taking a breath, and carrying on around the park, the beach wasn't too far away, and after last week, I don't want to risk running into him again. Out of sight, out of mind.
