Aurora stayed with Leo for a little longer trying her best to comfort him. The two had seen each other at their worst and Leo would only cry or show his true emotions to Aurora and vice versa. because they've always been comfortable with each other and they know one another to well to lie.
After a while Leo said that he would be okay, even if Aurora didn't believe him she knew the least she could do was be there for him.
Adam texted Aurora and told her that the two could come down to the lab since they had finished decorating, at least she thought they had.
The elevator doors opened and Aurora followed behind a sulking Leo, Aurora watched with wide eyes as Chase tried to hide the discarded balloons and helium tank.
She face palmed once she realized that Adam had popped all of the balloons. "Real smooth." Aurora whispered when she saw Chase and Adam trying to act casual when Leo looked up.
"Guys, my mom's actually going to an awards banquet. She's not throwing me a surprise party." Leo told the two.
"Oh, no! That's awful! We gotta go." "Later, bro." The two of them said before hopping off of the console and sprinting out of the lab doors.
"Hey, where you goin'? It's my birthday!" Leo called out to the two, and once they left he turned to the sheepish looking Aurora for answers.
"Don't look at me, we never discussed this part of the plan." Aurora shrugged, which was true Adam and Chase were not supposed to lock the both of them in the lab.
"Plan?" Leo asked raising his eyebrow.
Aurora's eyes widened when she realized that she had slipped up, "Uh, did I say plan? I don't think I did. There was definitely not a plan." Aurora rambled shaking her head violently.
Leo blinked at Aurora, looking at her with a blank face before facing Eddy saying, " Eddy, open these doors."
"Now!" Aurora yelled in annoyance, she didn't have time to be inside the lab, after the surprise party she was supposed to start setting up at the diner for Leo's birthday dinner.
"Oh, but if I did that, I'd ruin the surprise party they're planning for you." Eddy told him which made Leo's eyes widen in surprise and Aurora face palm.
"Are you kidding me?! They left you in charge, you literally had one job!" Aurora yelled, pointing at the smart home system.
"You guys are throwing me a surprise party?" Leo asked in surprise, turning to face Aurora who was nervously playing with her hair.
"Not anymore." She chuckled angrily, turning to glare at Eddy again.
"Yeah, what a bunch of lame-o's. I wouldn't expect much." Eddy said only making Aurora even more annoyed.
A couple of minutes later Aurora and Leo found themselves pacing back and forth, waiting for the lab doors to open but they never did.
"What is taking them so long?" Leo asked. "I don't know but knowing them, it's never good." Aurora said, Leo nodding in agreement.
