A couple minutes later Aurora, Leo, and Adam were sitting on the rocks while Bree and Chase paced in front of them.
"How could the mobile lab just disappear?" Bree asked as she looked at each of them, waiting for an answer.
"Maybe it got tired of waiting and it split like we did." Adam replied, as he started eating his ice cream, which was now down to the cone.
Leo and Aurora both turned their heads in sync, giving Adam a look of disbelief while Bree just rolled her eyes, choosing to ignore him for now.
"We have to tell Mr. Davenport." Bree said determinedly make Chase give her a look.
"Oh, yeah? And what are we gonna tell him? "Hey, remember that really easy mission where all we had to do was sit around and wait? Well, guess what-- we totally blew it, and the world is toast. Oopsie!" Chase said sarcastically making Aurora give him a somewhat proud look, he definitely got that from her.
Everyone's attention was then shifted when they heard a siren blaring, the three who were sitting on the rocks immediately shot up to see what was happening.
Aurora nearly burst out into laughter as soon as she saw a middle aged man on a scooter desperately trying to go faster but it clearly wasn't working due to the sand.
Aurora and Bree looked at each with raised eyebrows before turning back to the man in uniform.
"Officer, we'd like to report a crime. Someone stole our R.V. from this spot, and it's super critical that we get--" Chase started, immediately launching into an explanation but getting cut off by the man.
"Cool your jets, spanky." The man said cooly making Aurora let out a loud laugh once Chase turned to face the group, offense written all over his face.
"I am so calling you that from now on." Aurora whispered into Chase's ear making him turn around and give the red head a sharp glare.
"I had it towed." The man continued and for a split second Aurora didn't even think that he had the rights to do that until she glanced down and saw the sheriff badge.
"What? Why?" Adam loudly asked as he gave the man a look of disbelief.
"Your car alarm's been goin' off for, like, an hour, dude." The man said and that's when it clicked into the teenagers minds, that was the signal for them to launch the rocket.
"Plus, I thought it'd be funny to watch a little tow truck pull that huge thing away. It was." He confirmed giving them a smile making Aurora roll her eyes.
"Car alarm?" Chase turned to face them, giving the group a look.
"Oh my god." Aurora said running her fingers through her hair out of nervousness, Davenport was going to kill them.
"If you want your R.V. back, you're gonna have to cough up 200 clams." The sheriff said as he put his black sunglasses on.
Aurora's eyes widened knowing that none of them had that kind of money with them, to be fair if she saved up she probably would, but she spends way too much of her money on food.
