For what felt like hours later Aurora, Leo, Alexa and Principal Perry were still trapped inside the elevator.
"I smell something burning. Do you think there's a fire?!" Leo asked the three in panic.
"I hope not I'm already feeling light headed in here." Aurora said putting her hand on her head, they've been in there for a while now and tight spaces have never been the best for her.
Noticing Aurora's discomfort Alexa let her rest her head on her shoulder and ran her fingers through Aurora's red hair to try and get her mind off of it.
"Well, if there is, the fire is either gonna melt the cables and we'll plummet three stories, or the fire will melt us and we'll plummet three stories!" Principal Perry yelled in annoyance making Aurora rub her head from the loud voice.
"Can you please keep it down? You're giving me a headache, literally!" Aurora exclaimed pointing to her head.
"Is it too late to take the stairs?" Leo asked making all of them roll their eyes.
"What do you think?" Alexa retorted and before anyone else could respond the cables that were holding up the elevator started to snap and the elevator started violently shaking making everyone scream.
"Oh my god this is the end! And I never got that ice cream either!" Aurora screamed vigorously shaking Leo's shoulders.
"That's what you're worried about?!" Leo asked in shock and he really shouldn't have been that surprised it was Aurora he was talking to.
"Of course that's what I'm worried about!" Aurora screamed before running back and forth in the elevator out of panic, screaming loudly for help.
The others stopped to stare at her for a few seconds before shrugging it off and doing the same.
A few minutes later Aurora and the others calmed down and decided that screaming for help was useless and they needed an actual plan to get out.
Aurora was in the middle of coming up with a plan in her head that would most likely end up with her leaving Principal Perry for dead and escaping with Leo and Alexa.
She was snapped out of it when she heard Chase's voice from outside the elevator. "Leo, Aurora, we have to run home real quick. Don't go anywhere."
"Trust me I don't think we'll be doing that anytime soon!" Aurora called out sarcastically.
"Really? Where are we gonna go?" Leo asked rhetorically, looking at the elevator doors in disbelief.
"You know, I can always leave you two for dead and escape through that hatch on the roof with Aurora." Alexa shrugged pointing to the roof.
"Yeah not gonna lie I had a similar plan." Aurora whispered making Alexa give her a smirk and discreetly high five her.
"Maybe we can climb out!" Leo said excitedly choosing to ignore what Alexa had previously said about leaving him for dead.
