Aurora was walking down the stairs that reached the main hallway at school, holding her progress report in her hand with a huge smile on her face. It was now that time in the school year where grades would either start plummeting or skyrocketing, and students would be freaking out trying to hide their progress report from their parents, the only good part about progress reports is that the grades that you get don't go on your permanent transcripts.
Aurora has always done fairly well at school and most of the classes that she took were honors classes, which she shared with Chase. Most people underestimate how intelligent she is because she absolutely hates talking about her grades to other people, she always felt scared that she was bragging so she normally kept them to herself.
Aurora spotted Leo talking to Bree and Adam on the other side of the hallway and quickly made her way over to them, dodging several students along the way.
She caught the beginning of their conversation, and by the look on Leo's face she knew that he was not nearly as happy as her that progress reports had come out.
"I can't believe my science teacher says I'm always late to class." Leo said in disbelief before letting out a high pitched scream when Aurora popped out of nowhere and stood right next to him.
"Jeez, woman! give a guy a warning next time." Leo said trying to catch his breath, while Aurora gave him an innocent smile and waved to the three.
"Well, you are always late to class." Adam said knowingly, responding to what Leo had said earlier.
"That's true, you used to try getting a piggy back ride from me when we were younger, because I was a fast walker." Aurora said nodding along in agreement.
Leo sent her a glare before saying, "I know that, but I don't need it publicized."
Before anyone else could respond, Chase ran out of the cafeteria doors, skidding to a stop once he saw the four.
"Look at this! An "A-minus"! I knew my Home Ec teacher had it out for me. Always criticizing my muffins." Chase said glaring at no one in particular, gesturing to the paper in his hands.
"If you want I could help you in that class, I make pretty good chocolate chip muffins, at least that's what Leo thinks." Aurora said pointing over to Leo who was already daydreaming about how good her chocolate chip muffins tasted.
One of Aurora's hobbies was baking and every time she made baked goods for either classes or just for fun. She made sure to make a separate batch just for the Davenport-Dooley family, because every time Leo would come over while she was baking he would end up eating the whole batch by himself.
"That's not a bad idea, I've never even gotten to try your muffins before because Leo would always refuse to share with the rest of us." Chase said glaring at Leo, who raised his arms up in mock surrender.
"Ha-ha! I beat you! I got a "D-plus"! "Plus" because I'm better!" Adam bragged to Chase showing all of them his grade. Aurora gave him a confused look but shrugged it off knowing there was no use in trying to argue with him.
