Aurora and Bree thanked Tasha for the ride to the dance before making their way up the stairs that lead to the entrance of the high school. Once the pair entered the main hallway they were greeted with streamers, balloons, and a large banner that read 'Mission Creek Dingo Dance'.
The music was blasting through the cafeteria doors and Aurora could spot Chase, Leo, and Adam standing off to the side, watching everyone else dance. Aurora was about to greet the three but before she could even take a step in their direction Bree quickly linked their arms together, wanting the two of them to make a big entrance.
"Hello, boys." Bree said strutting through the gym doors popping her hip out, Aurora following since their arms were still linked.
"You all look amazing tonight." Aurora smiled at the three. "We could say the same to you." Chase said returning the compliment.
Bree decided to practice walking in her heels so she strutted past the three, but tripped a few times, before she could fall Aurora grabbed onto her wrist and tried pulling her up but Aurora being the clumsy person she is managed to trip on literal air. The both of them were trying to keep each other from falling while Chase, Adam, and Leo sent the pair weird looks.
once they regained their balance Aurora turned to the three boys saying, "Pretend you didn't just see, whatever the heck that was." Aurora said gesturing to when both of them almost fell face forward.
"Okay, if you're gonna dance in those shoes, I suggest wearing a helmet." Leo suggested while Bree rolled her eyes in response.
"You know we could practice slow dancing together." Aurora suggested before quickly explaining herself when she saw the suspicious looks that the four were sending her.
"What I meant was that we could practice dancing together right now so that way when you're dancing with Ethan in your heels you probably won't trip as much." Aurora rambled.
"Minor problem, I have no clue how to dance." Bree said bluntly. "Don't worry that's why you have me." Aurora said taking Bree's hand in hers and leading her to the center of the dance floor.
"Okay first step is hand placement." Aurora said taking Bree's hands that were at her side and placing them loosely around her waist.
"And mine will go here." Aurora said while putting her arms around Bree's shoulders, hanging them loosely around her neck.
Bree stiffened at the sudden touch for a few seconds before leaning in closer to Aurora. "Okay that's good, now just take a deep breath in and loosen your muscles, if it helps look into my eyes and try to follow my movements."
Bree took a deep breath in to calm her nerves before looking into Auroras eyes, blue meeting hazel. Bree didn't know why but she felt more comfortable around Aurora, the fear of being judged for not knowing how to dance immediately washed away and she didn't feel the need to run the other direction. It was the complete opposite, Aurora made Bree feel safe.
