Aurora was down in the lab with Adam, Bree, Chase, and Leo. The three bionic teenagers were standing off to the side and Aurora was hovering over Leo's shoulder at one of the desks.
"You're breathing on me." Leo said swatting away her hand that was on the chair.
"I'm just trying to get a better look." Aurora told him whacking him back, which caused Leo to get annoyed and move her away and the next thing you know the two were fighting like cats and dogs.
Mr.Davenport soon walked in and that's when both of them froze, looking at each other with wide eyes and quickly pretending like nothing was happening.
Mr.Davenport sent the two overly smiling teens a weird look while making his way over to Adam, Bree, and Chase.
"Okay, your mission supplies are packed, the schematics have been uploaded into Chase's chip, and your transport is on the way. Did I forget anything?" Mr.Davenport asked the three, snapping his fingers while trying to concentrate.
"No, we'll just guess what the mission is and see how it all plays out." Bree said sarcastically sending Mr.Davenport a look.
"All right. A particle collider is a three-mile long underground facility where scientists--" Mr.Davenport started but got cut off by Chase.
"Race subatomic particles at each other at light speed for energy experiments. So cool!" Chase giggled at the end, not being able to contain his excitement any longer.
"I know!" Mr. Davenport agreed making Aurora turn to the two of them with wide eyes saying, "Please for the love of god don't do it."
The two looked at each other before wiggling their fingers and saying, "Deedle-deedle-dee!"
"And you did it." Aurora sighed wishing she could go back in time and prevent that from ever happening.
Bree and Adam gave the two blank stares making Mr.Davenport turn serious again. "There is a particle collider in Berkeley that is accelerating out of control, and your mission is to shut it down."
"Doesn't that sound kind of dangerous?" Aurora whispered to Leo, her voice laced with worry.
"They've done worse." Leo shrugged. "Yeah, yeah I'm just being paranoid." Aurora nodded trying to shrug it off, hoping that she was just over thinking this.
"Oh ho! Awesome! I hope one of us knows how to do that." Adam said nervously while Aurora face palmed, they really were doomed.
"Okay. We have to act quickly. The scientists that operate the facility--" Mr.Davenport said leading Adam, Bree, and Chase towards his desk but pausing once he saw Aurora hovering over Leo while he wildly typed on the computer.
He pushed the two away from the desk saying, "scuuuuse me—have already evacuated the control center, and if we don't shut it down in time, it will create a massive black hole that will implode the entire planet."
