The other 3 boys stood still, believing this was some kind of joke. Momo laughed a bit and poked Sousuke's head. "Did you hit your head or something? Or are you just playing jokes-" Then, Sousuke pushed Momo's hand away. "I'm not joking around. Why would I?" Then, Momo took a step backwards, trembling, now fully understanding he wasn't joking. Nitori ran over to Sousuke, tears in his eyes. "Yamazaki-Senpai...Please just say you're still joking around-" Then, a noise was heard from behind Nitori and Momo. "Sousuke, your doctor wants to see you now." Everyone looked to see who was speaking and they all saw it was Sousuke's mum. Then, she spoke again. "Oh, you three are here too! I remember when Sousuke would talk about you three a lot, well, mainly you, Rin." Then, Rin took a step forwards, walking up to Sousuke's mum. "What...happened to him? Why doesn't he remember Momo or Ai?" Sousuke's mum exhaled, an upset look on her face. "Why don't you 3 come to Sousuke's room with us? I'll tell you about it there." Then, the three boys nodded, following Sousuke and his mother to his hospital room. Number 109.

Everyone took a seat inside, the doctor looking at the three extra boys. "We've got visitors?" He looked at Sousuke's mum who smiled a bit. "Sousuke's friends, I'm planning to tell them what happened." The doctor then turned back to the three boys. "I'm guessing you were surprised to see he doesn't remember you three." Then, Rin spoke up. "He... remembered me. He remembered my name." The doctor gave Rin a small smile. "You must've been very special to him if he remembered your name. What was he to you?" All eyes were now on Rin, including Sousuke's. After a bit of silence, the doctor spoke again. "If you're going to say something you don't want him to hear, then you can always tell me later-" Rin interrupted him. "We were childhood friends, best friends even...But, I guess I always saw him as something more than just a close friend." Rin was looking down at the floor, now regretting everything he just said. Momo then smiled brightly and nudged Rin's shoulder. "I knew you liked Sousuke-Senpai! It was too obvious!" Instantly, Rin snapped back. "Well it's obvious for who you like too! But I'll just wait until one of you confesses." Rin looked at Nitori for a second before looking back at Sousuke who was staring at him, his eyes slightly wider from what Rin said. "Sousuke, forget I said anything." Then, the doctor interfered his small talk to Sousuke. "Be careful what you wish for." The red haired boy looked up at the doctor, raising an eyebrow. "What do you mean?" All eyes were now placed on the doctor. Behind, Sousuke laid down on the hospital bed on his side, facing away from everyone. "There's a chance he won't remember." The three boys looked at each other and then back at the doctor, Sousuke's mum looking away. "Why wouldn't he remember?" Then, the doctor sighed a bit. "He has Dementia. Right now, we believe he will be in stage 4 very soon.

The room fell silent as the doctor turned back to Sousuke's mum. "Please may you explain to them outside, I need to speak to the young man." His mother nodded and led the three boys out of the room, sitting in the waiting room. Rin spoke up instantly. "W-What does that doctor mean? Sousuke having Dementia... no way! H-He would've told me!" Then, Rin was interrupted by a small hand being placed on his shoulder. He turned his head to see Sousuke's mum looking at him, upset. "Rin, he asked me to tell you when he doesn't remember you so neither of you would be as embarrassed but..." Sousuke's mum smiled a little. "He didn't want to tell you personally because he didn't want you to be hurt nor upset." Instantly, Rin spoke back, pain filling his voice. "That idiot! I'd be more upset if he didn't tell me and just waited to go!" Sousuke's mum smiled softly at the red haired boy. "He told me he wouldn't be able to handle watching you cry. He said that it would most likely make him cry too." Once more, Rin interfered, a few tears rolling down his cheeks now. "But it's a suitable time for him to cry! All he does is hide his true emotions and only shows two! He never shows any other emotions! He...He needs to let go of the pain one day...If he holds back his tears too long then the day they escape will probably be the worst day of his life..." Rin was now looking at the floor, his face in his hands as he cried more. Nitori patted Rin's shoulder a little. "Matsuoka-Senpai... um, I think that if Yamazaki-Senpai was to finally show some sadness one day, it would be with the help from you!" Rin's eyes widened a bit as he looked up at Nitori. "Huh? W-What do you mean?" Rin wiped his eyes quickly as he listened to the grey haired boy. "Well, most of his emotions are shown when he is around you and after what you just said inside the room, I think he'll be more comfortable and-" Again, Rin shouted back, his voice cracking from despair. "Well it won't matter since he won't remember what I said! He won't even remember me in the end! So...what's the point of even hiding any secrets from him now..." Once more, Rin fell into his pit of emotionless voices in his head telling him everything that will happen in the future.

The doctor walked out of the hospital room, a dark expression on his face. "Mrs Yamazaki." Sousuke's mum shot up. "Yes?" Rin already knew what the doctor was going to say, he just knew he wasn't ready to hear it. "Your son...He's entered stage 4. He'll most likely start to have difficulties remembering people's faces and the people themselves, difficulty remembering his past, lower knowledge about current or recent events and disorientation." Sousuke's mum sighed as she looked at the ground. "Thank you, doctor." The man nodded and walked back inside the room. Then, Sousuke's mum realized something. "Boys, why were you here in the first place?" That's when Rin jumped out of his seat. "Gou! Sorry Mrs Yamazaki, we have to go!" Ri n started running through the hallway to Gou's room, stopping when he saw her with a green cast around her hand to her elbow. "Gou!" Rin sprinted over to her, making sure she was alright. "Rin! There you are! Didn't even wait outside your own sisters room?" Gou laughed a bit but stopped when she realized Rin has red circles around his eyes. "Why were you crying though?" Rin's mum walked over to Rin and hugged him softly. "I guess you saw Sousuke." Rin gasped a little as he looked at his mum. "Y-You knew?" His mother nodded as Rin shouted a bit. "Why didn't you tell me anything!?" Rin's mum smiled comfortingly as she spoke softly. "He wanted to tell you when he was ready." Rin couldn't help but shout louder. "Well it was his mum who told me so that's not going well!" Gou then got in the way. "Rin, what happened to Sousuke?" Rin looked at Gou for a split second before turning away and sprinting back. Gou went to chase him but their mum stopped her. "Let him. We'll see him at home, he just needs some time alone." Then, Gou looked at her mum in the eyes. "Mum, what happened to Sousuke?" Their mum sighed a bit as she looked at Gou in the eyes too. "He has Dementia."
