I Remember You, Rin

C12 Rin's Dream

Rin was standing on a grass-filled hill with a whole field resting underneath. His whole body turned when he heard Momo shouting over to him. Running and hugging him, Rin fell to the ground when the ginger and the grey haired boy hugged him tight. Rin got up after 20 seconds to see Sousuke standing there, laughing a bit. Rin's heart raced faster, hiding it with an unimpressed face. " And what are you laughing about, Mr. Serious?" Sousuke walked forwards, helping up Rin. "Just like watching you get tackled to the ground, Mr. Shark." Then, with no warning, Sousuke was pulled to the ground by Rin, landing on top of him as Rin wrapped his arms around him. "Trapped by the shark~." The two boys laughed until they were interrupted. "You guys forgot me and Ai-Senpai are here?" Sousuke looked over at the other two boys quickly and then looked back at Rin, giving an evil smirk before picking him up like a mother carrying a baby. "Wha- Oi, Sousuke! Put me down!" Rin was kicking his arms and legs around but Sousuke didn't let him down. "What was that? You're moving so much I can't tell what you're saying." Rin glared at Sousuke for a second before sighing, wrapping his arms around the black-haired boy to not fall back. Then, Momo took this opportunity to joke about. "You look like a prince and a princess after the prince found his love in a dangerous place!" Momo laughed as Rin glared at him. But, Sousuke just smiled a little, whispering to Rin. "I wouldn't mind if you was my princess." A shiver was sent down Rin's spine as he sighed and looked at Sousuke, softly punching his chest. "Don't say weird things like that, you'll make me believe you'll want us to become a prince and a princess." Sousuke laughed a little as he slowly placed down Rin. The boys all agreed on going shopping for a BBQ at Rin's later. Then, as they set off to the shop, Rin and Sousuke walked slower, holding hands behind their backs.

When the evening finally came along, Rin set up the fire to cook the BBQ on as everyone helped get out all the food which needed to be cooked. Sousuke was inside cutting up everything and oven-baking some bread rolls and doing his own homemade dessert (Also doing a separate one for him and Rin to share with not as much sugar). Then, the dinner-making started.

After around 30-50 minutes of cooking, the BBQ was ready, everyone filling their plates and eating. Then, out of nowhere, a huge hole in the ground buried Rin into his next memory. He stood up to be granted with a pitch-black room with no sound at all. Rin squinted his eyes and shouted out into the darkness. "Uh, anyone there?" Then, almost instantly, the lights swatch on. Rin couldn't believe his eyes. Colours flew out in front of him as the room was filled with shouts. "Happy Birthday!" Standing in front of him was the whole of Iwatobi, Samezuka, his family and Seijuro. Rin's eyes filled with tears of joy as he saw everyone he knew crowded around in one spot, presents and balloons in every corner. Then, out of nowhere, a large hand rested on Rin's shoulder. The boy jumped, turning around to see a taller boy with a soft smile. "Happy birthday, Rin." The maroon-haired boy's smile grew bright as he jumped and hugged the older boy with joy. "Thank you, all of you!" A small laughter left the boy's mouth as he looked around the room. Then, the dark circle swallowed him again. But this time, it was a more recent memory. 

Rin stood up, holding a rolled up blanket in his arm, a grassy hill surrounding him. The wind blew his hair to the side as he looked around and saw the ocean-blue eyed boy staring up into the night sky, his eyes full with colours. Rin looked up too, the reflection of his eyes filling up as he watched each firework go off. Then, his face was forced to be turned slowly, his eyes widening as he watched Sousuke slowly lean forwards. Then, Rin shot up in his bed.

The boy rubbed his eyes, switching off his alarm. "What...was that? Memories?" Rin sighed as he stood up and got ready for the day. If anything, he couldn't have been more happy with that dream. Then, he made his way to Sousuke.
