It's been 5 months since Sousuke and Rin first kissed. Sousuke properly asked him out the day after when Rin invited him out to go to the arcade with Momo and Nitori. Rin got up at the usual time, slowly dragging himself out of bed. He swatch off his alarm as he stood up and made his bed, picking out clothes and getting dressed, running to the bathroom and washing and brushing his teeth and then running downstairs. But, the day wasn't going to be like any other normal day, this day was going to be worse than the others.

Once Rin got downstairs he was greeted by his mum and sister smiling brightly. "what's gotten you two in such a good mood?" Then, Rin's mum held up 3 tickets. "We're all going Australia together!" Then, Rin froze a bit. Gou and their mum was cheering and laughing. But Rin wasn't. "All of us?" Then, his mum nodded. "Of course! You always tell us about your days in Australia so why don't we all go? You can show us some nice places." Miyako (Rin + Gou's mum) and Gou continued speaking but Rin didn't listen. He didn't bother to listen. Plus, his mind was focused on one thing. "But what about Sousuke? What if he enters stage 6 when we're gone!" The two girls went silent and then Gou smiled softly. "Call him everyday then!" Rin furiously snapped back. "You think he has a phone!? How on earth would I call him?" Rin then rushed back upstairs, holding back his tears. Their mother sighed as she patted Gou's hair. "I'll go talk to him, don't worry." Gou nodded and watched her mum walk up the stairs.

Miyako slowly opened the door to see Rin laying in his bed, his cover over him and facing the wall. "Go away..." His mum sighed a bit and walked over, sitting on the edge of his bed and speaking quietly. "Rin, I'm sorry, I didn't think about how worried you would be." Then, Rin interrupted her. "It doesn't matter. You've already got the tickets, no point giving them away now..." Miyako heard a small sniffle, making her understand how upset Rin really was. "Rin, I promise you we'll only be there for a few months, it will be ok. Plus, it's been 2 years since Russell and Lori last saw you, they want to see you again." Rin didn't answer this time. "We'll be leaving tomorrow. I'll pack your stuff and you go visit Sousuke, ok?" Rin sat up, still facing the wall. "Alright..." Then, his mum stood up, walking to his closet. Instantly, Rin tried to stop her. "Hey wait-!" When she opened the closet, she saw a bunch of pictures of him and Sousuke all over the inside walls and the door. Rin hasn't told Gou nor his mum they were together. He only told Iwatobi and Samezuka because he was 100% certain they would be supportive but he was too afraid to tell his family right now. But it wasn't necessary now. "M-Mum I can explain!" Then, Miyako giggled a little. "No need Hun, I knew for a while. Me and Gou saw you guys before so it's alright." Rin gasped a little and his face turned red. "You...both knew?" Rin's mum nodded and laughed again. "I'll explain later, you just go visit Sousuke before you make him wonder where you are." Rin nodded and started to run to the hospital again.

When Rin got there, he could see Sousuke standing outside, holding two cans of cola. "Rin, here." Rin took a can and opened it, laughing a bit. "Seriously, where do you get these from?" Sousuke smiled a bit and opened his can too. "The man you call 'Doc' usually gives me them." Rin swallowed all his drink, throwing the can away. "By the way, Sousuke, this day won't be as good as the other days usually are." Sousuke raised an eyebrow at Rin. "Why not?" The red haired boy sighed a bit. "I'm going back to Australia tomorrow." Sousuke placed his hand on Rin's shoulder, comforting him. "How long will you be gone?" Rin sighed. "A couple of months... I'm sorry, Sousuke. I want to stay with you but if we're leaving tomorrow there's no way I can." Sousuke's expression went dark. "I'll be fine here. You have fun and don't worry about me, ok?" Rin nodded in reply. He could easily tell Sousuke was upset but didn't want to show any hints of it. Then, Rin softly placed his hand in Sousuke's. "Why don't we just spend the day here?" Sousuke nodded as they both went inside, patiently waiting for the day to end, not wanting to leave each other's side.

The next day came as quick as turning the page in a book for Rin. He knew he wasn't ready to spend months without seeing Sousuke but he also knew there'll be a time where he can't visit Sousuke at all. But, he wanted to keep that thought off his mind, right now all he cared about was how Sousuke was still here and he wasn't going anywhere. Then, it was time for him to leave. He picked up his bags and ran downstairs  where he saw his sister and mum waiting for him. Then, they headed for Australia.

On the plane flight there, Gou and their mum kept messing around, laughing and playing games. But it wasn't the same for Rin. All he could think about was if Sousuke would be ok or not, especially since he didn't have any way to talk to him now. But, he tried his best to keep that off his mind, hoping the others will be there for him. Rin let out out a soft sigh, thinking about how he's so close to stage 7 and how they only have around 3 more years together. But, Rin ignored this feeling. He didn't want to ruin his mum's and Gou's fun by him being depressing so he tried to act happy, hiding any thoughts about Sousuke in the back of his mind, trying to forget. But, he was unable to, knowing what he was going to hear when he's back in Japan.
