Today's the big day for Ashton. It's championship day. A lot of people came here, on the gold coast, specially for for this big event. Ashton told me it's a really huge competition and people from all around the world come here to see it.
That's why he's so stressed. That and because of his dad who keeps pressuring him. I've never met him but he doesn't seem nice. Not that I think he's mean either but a parent shouldn't put that much pressure on their child. Winning a competition is not the most important thing.
Ashton's mum though, she's a sweetheart, just like her son.
I was woken up by my phone buzzing on my nightstand. I groaned and blindly started searching for my phone. It wasn't a success since I managed to almost knock the lamp over, oops.
I unplugged the small device from its charger and the screen light up, blinding me with the bright screen's light.
From: Ashton
Meet me at the beach at ten, I want you to have the best spot when I surf!
I smiled at my phone's screen. I can't wait to see him surf.
I looked at the time on the right corner of my phone and saw it was almost nine. I should probably get up if Ashton wants to meet at ten. I need to shower, eat and get ready. This is a big day for him, I can't look like crap.
''Where are you going?'' asked my dad as I tumbled downstairs, running to the kitchen to get breakfast.
I've spent way too much time quiffing my hair and and choosing my outfit, now I'm almost late to meet with Ashton. I feel like a girl. I shouldn't worry that much about my hair. I'll be outside all day - or most of it - it'll get messed up anyway.
''To the beach,'' I replied. ''There's a surf championship and someone I know's participating. He asked me to meet him at ten and I'm almost late. It's like, nine-fifty.'' I turned to my mum. ''Is there something I can eat on the go?''
''A surf championship during Christmas break?'' he repeated.
I nodded. ''Yeah. I'd tell you about it but I have to go.''
My mum had placed a water bottle along with a granola bar on the edge of the the table, ready for me to take and eat. I thanked her quickly and left, grabbing my shoes on the way.
Ashton and I found ourselves near the big rocks on the beach. The beach area was packed with people - both contestants and spectators. People from all over the world were reunited here. The crowd is crazy packed.
We were lucky to find a quiet corner to make out. Don't judge, we're teenagers after all.
''I. Need. To. Go,'' he said between kisses.
Ashton's lips were red from kissing and his hair were a mess. And none of this is my fault.
Okay, it kinda is.. but I can'thelp it. He just has very kissable lips. As for the hair, I love tugging and messing with them when we kiss - Ashton love it too. I bet I look the same - lips wise. The surfer doesn't like tugging at my hair, he prefer running his hands up and down my back and all ove- why am I saying this?
I pouted, not releasing him from my grip. ''No,'' I whined. ''Don't go, Babe. I wanna kiss more.''
He chuckled but shook his head and laces his fingers with mine, straddling my waist. ''I'm sorry but I have to go, Love. They need me for the competition. I need to register.''
''You said it's not your first time doing this competition and the whole town knows you. You don't need to register. We can kiss instead.'' I kissed him quickly, keeping a pout on my lips, hoping it'll make him change his mind.
