"this way!" Meera called out though the snowy terrain bran being pushed along behind her, the two of us far back from the group.
"Jojen stop I think you need to rest." I told him as he was barely able to stand us both half frozen, his skin bright red in places and ice white in others, he was staking, his pulse was flipping between failing and racing. His hair and clothes thick with snow.
"We can't we have to get somewhere safe you'll freeze if we don't" he says holding me close
"And you collapse if we do. Jojen you have to rest. Rest now or you won't get another chance"
"It's not far now. Just a little further then we can rest I promise"
"Alright but stay close" I smiled holding him tightly as we slowly went over the hill and as we did I saw it the werewood tree that had been calling us all here it loomed over the edge of the world broken and weathered but as I was looking jojen left my grip and fell into the snow instantly I went to his side and tried to pull him out the snow but he could barely move "jojen! Jojen what's wrong? What's the matter?" I asked holding him close stroking his skin "your ice cold."
I looked up and saw white walkers climbing out from under the snow to attack us I took my blade and tried to fend off as many as I could but still doing my best never to leave jojen side as he struggled for breath and even the energy to move I pushed one back as best I could but when I turned back I saw one knife his stomach "noooo!' I screamed running back sitting at his side "it's okay. It's okay we can fix this" I muttered in my panic looking him over
".... Y/n." He muttered barely able to speak holding my blade
"No. No I won't do that. We don't need that. You'll be okay. It'll all be okay. Just a little further and you can rest. We can rest... Like you promised"
"Y/n... Please."
"..... Okay" I nodded tears welling up taking my blade warming it up with my hand a moment
"Y/n... I love you"
"I love you too" I cried being as gently as I could making sure he wasn't cold, he wasn't struggling, not anymore. The moment I took my blade away feeling his movement stop the little warmth he had disappeared, I couldn't bare to move I was paralyzed with sadness...

I pushed back the last of the walkers keeping bran close even if I knew what had happened to my brother I went over trying to convince her to go to leave him she'd be no help to him now. I stepped closer in attempts to console my sister in law "...y/n-" I began but I stopped short a ice cold shiver up my spine
"What's wrong with her eyes?" Bran asked a fearful tone in his voice
"Run."
"What?"
"Run!" I yelled shoving hodor and pushing brans sled as fast as I could towards the tree
"What's wrong! Is she a walker? Already!" He asked in fear
"Worse. Much much worse"
"Why where her eyes white!"
"You remember what they used to say about targereons? And fire."
"Fire cannot burn a dragon?"
"y/l/n's have something similar, ice. And it's cold. Can't freeze a witch"
"A... A winter witch? You could have told us!"
"I knew! Ever since they for married anyway. I've only seen her like this once... But it wasn't this bad"
I watched the terrifying sight as snow came down heavier, it began as a small flurry but grew into a blizzard swirling around her like a tornado. A wind and vortex of ice and snow glowing blue as If a fire of ice rising higher and higher into the sky corrupting the clouds themselves
"What do we do?"
"I don't know..... I don't... I don't think she wants us to do anything. I think she's keeping him safe. Keeping them together protected behind a wall of ice and burning snow where nothing can hurt them. I think if she wants to follow us she will" I said pushing them both into the cave
And... That was the last I saw of my brother or my sister in law. But it became a story a mystery thrown around a inns, told to children in there beds. The storm of a fire of ice burning ever colder on the edge of the world. Only bran and I ever knew what it truly was and we where not around forever the true reason for the storm was lost to time but still... It burns.
