"Afternoon y/n," Meera smiled as she arrived home to Greywater Watch, a bag of mushrooms and fish in hand

"Afternoon, A successful outing I see." I nodded as I stood above the wooden table working away on a mushroom pie.

"When isn't it, Got to keep an eye on the eastern way through snow banks as high as huts" she explained throwing her bag down to begin sorting her spoils

"I'll make sure to send some of the boys to deal with it,"

"Any news?"

"No, not as of yet," I answered even if I had to force a hollow smile

"Little twirp!"

"I understand, he's a busy boy." I told her "One would just hope he's not too busy, to write back his own mother" I snapped stabbing the roof of my pie with a fork a good few times

"You remember what it was like"

"I always found the time to write though."

"True, I'm sure It'll be here a day or two more," she says

"Lady Reed!" A voice came as the kitchen door opened revealing the usual man

"Yes, Lord Boggs?"

"A raven has arrived my lady, from kings landing" he says handing me the message still sealed of course

"Thank you my lord" I nodded and he headed off back to the watch tower

"Who's it from?" Meera asked

I looked and couldn't hold back my smile "Speak of the devil"

"read it to him" she says and for a moment I stopped short

"I don't want to worry him"

"Y/n, read it to him. It'll be good for him"

"You're right" I nodded set my pie into the fire and gathered my things "Mind it for me will you?"

"Of course," she nods

I headed out the kitchen message in hand fiddling with the parchment between my fingers as I made my way through Greywater, surrounded by the damp wood and grey-green. I was nervous as always as I headed to the familiar chamber until I found the door. The wooden door before me and I wasn't sure I was brave enough to pass through it. I put the letter in my pocket and adjusted my thick green dress running my hand across the black fur on my dress, and fixing my long braided hair for a moment before I held my breath and headed inside. The room large with many items had since been removed leaving it fairly bare with our bed in the corner, the sofa to the side and papers scattered across the floor. Jojen stood close to the wall ink covering his hands as he drew over the walls, ink across his clothes muttering things to himself.

"Ohh Jojen!" I quickly rushed over "What on earth are you doing!"

"T-he messages-" He muttered continuing to draw

"Jojen it's alright," I began trying to stop him but he pushed me away and continued

"I have to write the messages, all the things, all the bees are shouting" he explained

"Jojen!" I yelled grabbing his arms and forcing him to stop the moment I did he froze up "It's me, It's just me. It's y/n"

he looked me up and down for a moment I wasn't sure if he even recognized me "Y/n?" He asks

"Yes darling"

"Oh... Hello" He waved

"Hello, Jojen." I giggled "Come on now let's get you back to bed"
