The Team Principal

Four

2021 started off with a bang, because on New Years Day, Frankie moved in with her boyfriend at his house just outside of Grove. She was over the moon. 

As the last of her boxes were put in her car, she turned around to look at her mum, stepdad and little brother, with some tears in her eyes. "Oh sweetie, its going to be alright, were not too far away. You can come home at anytime and now that you are all grown up and moving out, I'm just so proud of you" Claire said as she wraps her arms around her daughter. When Claire lets go, Marc comes over and gives his step daughter a hug and says "You'll be absolutely fine Frankie, me and your mum are only a phone call away" Marc said as he let me go. I bent down to Nathaniels height and gave him a hug and said "You'll be fine Nath, you can call me when you want to talk to me, I'll always be your big sister, wherever in the world I am. Now be a good boy for mummy and daddy and don't cause any mischief, monkey". Nathaniel nodded and Marc picked him up, as my family saw me get into my car and drive off, to go an live with Nicky. 

The drive to Nicky's house was only a 20 minute drive, so I put my driving playlist on, but as I'm driving, I'm mentally planning certain things for the team for this season but I'm also planning health and safety to make sure that everyone is safe this season, whilst travelling too and from races and that I need to bulk order face masks, so that we don't run out over the course of the season. 

I was just turning down the street my boyfriend lives on so I decide to give him a call.

Nicholas: Hey babe, have you left your mums house yet?

Frankie: Yeah I have, I've literally just turned down your road and I'll be there in about 2 minutes and I'm going to need help with some of the boxes.

Nicholas: I'm already standing by the front door ready and waiting for you and I can see you now

Frankie: Speak to sec

I hang up the phone, as I pull onto the driver way. I turned the engine off and take the key out the ignition and run over to my handsome boyfriend. "Hiya babe" I said. "Hiya baby, welcome home" he replied in a soft and calming voice.

 We pulled out of the hug and headed over to my car and started to unload all the boxes from the boot first, then the back seat and then finally the two that were on the front seat. We both spent about 20 minutes unloading my car, before finally closing the front door. Now the easy part was over, the difficult part of  the moving process was unpacking all the boxes and putting everything in its new home. Nicky helped me carry all the boxes up to his room. Actually let me rephrase that our room. I started unpacking all my clothes and putting them on hangers and in the wardrobe so that they don't get all creased, putting all my hand bags on the shelves that were in the wardrobe and all my shoes on the shoe rack but leaving a couple of pairs out that I'm going to leave by the front door. The unpacking of all my clothes, accessories and shoes took a couple of hour but during that couple of hours, I made sure that mine and Nicky's race weekend bags were packed, ready so that we don't have to mess about, even though the first race isn't for a couple of months but its better to prepared than not. I also have an emergency case packed just in case I needed to go to mums for some reason. 

The boxes that were downstairs, had some bits and piece for the kitchen and some photos to put up. Once the final box was empty, I started to look around and it started to feel like home to me because my home is with Nicky and I couldn't be more happy. 

Sorry for this chapter being short, I've been trying to focus on my university assignment, as well as my other book I'm writing alongside this one.
