f1news During the middle of Q1 of qualifying this afternoon, Williams Racing team principal Francesca Williams was seen rushing from the hospitality unit and through the paddock. We know that she contacted her fiance over the radio stating that she had to go back to the UK for a family emergency. It is known at she left Deputy Team Principal Jost Capito in charge this weekend because she needed to be with her family. We are just waiting for Williams racing to release a statement as to why the team principal left the French GP early.

williamsracing The team will be releasing a statement later on today when we have further news on the incident and we are sure that our team principal will release her own statement as well

nicholaslatifi Family is so important to the team principal at Williams and she would drop everything to be with them

georgerussell63 I have to agree with what Nicky said because family is really important, especially to Frankie

user756 Hope all is well

user672 I hope everything is okay with her family and that she's back at the track again soon

carlosainz55 Thoughts to the Williams family

charles_leclerc Hoping the Willaims family is alright and everyone is in good health

landonorris Hoping that the Williams family are all alright and that it is nothing too serious and hoping to see Frankie back at the next race

hater562 She is an awful team principal for abandoning her team to deal with her 'family emergency'. She shouldn't be in the sport if she can't handle the pressure.

nicholaslatifi There is no need to hate Frankie. She is an amazing boss and she can handle the pressure it is a family emergency not an excuse to go home. Frankie works extremely hard for the team and she works really late at night to make sure everything is complete
